Merry Christmas to one and to all! May my Yuletide blessings extend far and wide!
*edit* I've made 2 more captions .. I'll be posting them on Christmas night. One is serious and the other is silly. Thought I was done, but last night, and today (Xmas Eve) I was inspired to make two more.
I consider all of you my good friends and part of my extended family. I wish the best for everyone, and I love that you take the time to visit and revisit this blog, enjoy my creations, and become a part of this community.
Some are no longer with us through life changes, others aren't here because they've gone to another realm. I cherish them all, and sometimes I'll just hit a few random posts from previous years, and relive my thoughts as I was making the captions, and then read the comments .. and smile.
Last year, Mrs. K posted a comment on my Christmas Day caption:
If only the world would see people just as people. No more us and them.
Kaaren wasn’t religious but he loved Christmas. It seems hypocritical or contradictory but he explained it to me and I will always remember it.
“Isn’t it great that at least for one day we all have love in our hearts.”
Yes Kaaren it’s great.
I think that is a good indicator of how pure Kaaren was, when she wasn't being a naughty s!ssy! There are many happy memories with the holidays for me, and many sad ones too. Here's the Christmas caption I did for 2020.

I don't need a magical clock to remember all those good times, but I would definitely welcome one. And I do look forward to spending future Christmas days with those who are still around to celebrate with, and share those memories with them as well. Maybe even make some new ones. Being alone makes me WANT to seek out more friendships and connections, and that is something I didn't always do.
So, to everyone out that that has visited my humble blog in the past, I welcome you to keep coming back, and share with me the gift of life, and all the things that make it worthwhile. We need to elevate each other, and look out for everyone in our circle, and to expand that out tenfold!
I've done that, and shared Christmases with 2 different girlfriends since then (the current one is Jewish!) I've learned that I can be sad, but yet still be happy. It's a balancing act, but I'm getting much better at it. I know my forever person is still here with me, every time I put the tree lights on, when I wrap (or gift bag) the presents, and when "the kids" return to share and open their gifts and dump open the Christmas stockings.
Keep the faith, and keep your spirits as high as your heels!
One of the many non-s!ssy things that I shared with Kaaren was a love of The Monkees. I post this every year, and I would never go through Christmas without listening to it at least two or three times. It's complete perfection .. done live and in one take.
