Genderella and The New Wave of Reality TV

Lots of fun to be had when you watch unscripted Reality TV... the way Dee thinks it should be!

Before you go any further, ponder for a moment what you think the caption is going to be about and how it will follow through that premise. Don't cheat and look at the labels, since they might not all be correct .. Yeah, I'll be THAT dee-vious! Then read the caption before moving down this post. I know that should be a given, but I'd prefer not to give spoilers.

How did your expectations match the title and my little enticement teaser for you with what you were given? I'm hoping that I gave you a curve or two that you don't see on our bodies! It can be SOOOO hard to come up with anything new, or even slightly off the track, time and time again. I can see why we have so many people sign up for a trading folder on the Haven, then within 6 months, they vanish.

There just has to be something in you to find fresh ground to mine in tired old situations. Sometimes, just looking at a caption title is enough to give me a good story without having to open it up .. though I often do to see how close I got to what their vision was for the piece. As someone that never titles their work until it's done .. maybe even until posting it on their blog like .. RIGHT NOW! I find it weird that someone else's titles can just tickle my creativity in other directions.

So, were your ideas better than mine? I hope yours were good too and creative since many of you know I don't often do "straight forward, to the point" on a regular basis. I also hope that sometimes you hold me to a higher standard than other captioners .. sometimes we need the pressure to push through when we are griding gears.

What was the plot to the caption "I" wrote in your head? What twists and turns were involved? How close were you to what I ended up putting down in the caption text setting?

There just *MIGHT* be another TG TV Series coming your way here on Thursday!

  1. I love it! I was kind of hoping for the "We like it, and we're staying this way" twist, but I wasn't expecting the competing program. Well done!

    1. Yay! I thought you'd be hard to twist because you've read SOOOOO many books, especially in the realm of TG fiction.

My thought process was that in the future, there will be even MORE reality shows, on Youtube, Netflix, etc .. that they'll have to go beyond to get guests, which means the potential for the shows competing for guests. What happens if someone found a way to game the system.

  2. NO mine was nothing like yours, That was a great plot twist I did not see that coming.
I am not a great fan of reality Tv, I mean I know they chose the people on them for entertainment purposes but they always seem force plastic fame chasers,
I might write up the idea I had so i well not give it away yet but you gave me some inspiration so hope you don't mind a short wait.

    1. Not at all. Glad I was able to stimulate your creativity in a positive way!

I really don't watch much television at all anymore. If people are interested, I could put up a post about what I actually watch that is relatively current, and it wouldn't take me longer than 20 minutes to write up I would assume.

    2. I am the same, i watch non of the stuff that are the talking points at work,(love island! vomit! do you get that in USA?) I watch mostly art, history, or science documentaries. I would watch Family guy if there were new ones, also getting into Robot chicken and Trip tank which past me by at first showing.
I have got all the episodes of Star Trek in all its outings which i have always said I would watch every day upon my retirement. But they are all on redundant formats now. Damn you progress!
