So when does this constitute an epidemic of departures?!?
Candy (aka One Eyed Pirate on the Haven) is taking the foreseeable future off from captioning. You can read about it HERE though its not really that long. She'd been around for quite some time, starting with TG-Media I believe and then drifting over to the Haven before making her own blog. I think I might have posted everything I've made for her, especially since she likes her captions sizzling hot and steamy .. and most people here do seem to like those as well!
So, yet another captioner saying goodbye! Last one out, be sure to turn off the lights! I'll just be sitting here in the dark, cranking out some more captions!

UGG on the car front. Nothing within our price range and apparently the worse credit you have, the more expensive and newer a car they want to give you a loan for. We can't afford to get a loan, insurance and all that, and we are very limited on what we can buy outright. Currently we are looking for something less than 1200 dollars. Doesn't look like that is going to happen, so we are pretty fucked .. no doubt about it. SO depressing to think you are at least keeping your head somewhat above water .. only to get sunk all at once.

ReplyDeleteAs you have said many of the caption makers have left or are leaving or are taking a hiatus of unknown length .. and the community has less captions from this happening. However change is inevitable. For as time passes people change or their circumstances change. One day you too will find a decision over the same types of issues or issues of your own which will cause you too to leave us all behind .. or to limit your creations to only every now and again. But until that time does come .. which inevitably it always does.. know that one who never posts on your blog has now posted to you to say that I have always enjoyed your captions. As with the blogs of Caitlyn, Smitty, Candy and others whom have left or limited their creation time to only occasional, or whom have decided to go to other formats for creative means.. I have read every caption in your blog from 1st to present as well. Thank you for sharing your captions to the readers. Not many of the non caption creator public whom reads the blogs thanks you folks enough in my opinion. One day these caption blogs will likely all go the way of the earlier bulletin board systems (BBS's) which existed prior to the internet proper coming into existence. Who knows what may come to replace these blogs when that day comes, but change will always happen as time passes. Since you seemed to be one of the few who actually took time to homage each caption creator whom has left the creation of captions behind, I figured I would add this to that.
Now you can say that you've officially had a comment response from me. Not that I am anyone important, but I have been a long time reader here and felt that it was time to comment. You've likely seen me comment on Caitlyn's caption blog in the past.

Well, we "creators" of TG content are all in this together. I have my favorites, but any competition we have is of the healthy variety to push each other to make better stuff.
DeleteI am glad you took the time to comment. I've stressed it before, but getting any sort of feedback from people, especially from those you weren't aware were looking at your site, can really make someones day. I've had a horrible week, but I light up each time I see another new comment posted here. Its sad to see some people's blogs have a page filled with posts and not one comment on any of them. Then people wonder why they disappear! Yes, we create for ourselves, but also to share in the community spirit, and when you don't get comments, you can feel out of touch or that no one else feels the same what you do, when in actuality, many people might be looking, but never saying anything.
So glad you said something! I hope you'll stop in occasionally and enjoy yourself .. please go and tell a few other of your favorites that you appreciate their work .. its magical to see the inbox flashing at you!
Oh I do and have indeed written comments to some on their blogs . however some don't offer the option of anonymous posts and in their cases they will NEVER hear a comment from me as unfortunately the only of the other options which might allow me to post would leave my actual last name included in the from position. I do not use that when I post. Also I tend to be one who if I see a reply to my comment I come back and leave another as I am now. :) Some in past chose to just ignore fully a comment made by me .. and never saw another from me as a result. The ones like you whom at least acknowledge that someone took the time to comment do stand a better chance of getting more future comments.
DeleteJust to reveal a detail about myself I am a MTF whom was also born IS. I like visiting the various blogs that I do .. to see the fantasy side which seems so very different in most cases from the reality side of such. If you remember Yvonne who was also MTF and who had a blog .. her story tells a sad reality of all too many MTF and FTM who simply never managed to finished or in many cases even start their transitions. Many such end up dead by own hand, rather than deal with the reality of their day to day feeling of being in a body not matching their mind and soul. As I work on a website where I hear about so many cases where folks are just starting transition or cant even start .. I had tried to reach out in email to yvonne prior to that time asking her to visit the website I work on which offers suicide prevention and support for TG folks and their families. She had refused to visit saying she did not need that type of help .. and no less than a month later her family member posted about her passing by her own hand. That hit me hard as it was a loss to not just the caption community but the TG community and also the world at large as we all lost a good person who did try to enrich the world but in the end felt unable to cope and well we all know what happened to her. sometimes the fantasy side offer by blog captions seems so appropriate to read, even in many cases where in the fantasy side the person did not want the transition. I was one of the lucky ones who got past the times in my life where I too felt I might not want to go on. But now helping others I sometimes feel the pressures of those I am talking to .. as a sadness for them that they can't get past that point. So I visit the blogs to take my mind off them and read fantasy for a while.

If you want to post the site here in the comments, I'll make mention of it in a future blog post.
DeleteI relay of the faith that Google will ensnare most of the spammers that are out there. Occasionally one will slip through, but I try to check this spot out at least 2-3 times a day when time permits. That's why i allow anonymous postings (unless the post is more than 10 days old I believe ... those are held until I can moderate them) because not everyone wants to go through making up a blogger identity.
I think I would rather not mention the specific bloggers page. They may well have a reason why they chose to block any anonymous posts. However I will say that I recently about a week or so ago was looking at their blog and had seen a post by them which I was going to comment on until I noticed that they do not allow the anonymous feature. My immediate thought was "no comment for you," as I simply closed their page and went on to another.

No, I meant the website that you work on that helps people and their families dealing with TG issues .. I think that would be an important resource to list.
DeleteI know many people that set anonymous to off. Smitty was having issues with some of them that were likely trolling. Others don't have the time to check their blog as much but like to make sure they are spam-free.
Thanks for the shout out & nice words Dee, your captions have always put a smile on my face as well as a few other positive things. :3
ReplyDeleteWhile I did mention that I will be taking a break, good chance I will continue but because of things in 'real life' eating up all of my personal time, I've decided to post about my hiatus.
Updates have been scarce for me so instead of disappointing with a lack of updates, i decided to take a break. Thanks again hun, give it time & I'll good chance be back to cappin' & thanks for the support. :3
~Candy
Well, glad to hear that. When I read your post, it seemed to me more of a "Goodbye until whenever" which usually feels like a "It was nice knowing you!" when in print. I mean, "Done Cappin'" certainly sounded final to me!
DeleteI hope you do come back and grace us again with your wonderful presence. This community will be a much more tingly place when you do!
It's all just porn, who really cares?
ReplyDeleteWell, if that is all you get out of it .. good for you! Its all free and all good!
DeleteThe tent is big enough for all of us, be it spank material or social commentary.
