Easter Sunday? Easter Funday! .. and a discussion RE: Deviant Art

He is risen .. well, until she puts him into a chastity device!

Well, Happy Easter everyone!

I've been doing this long enough that I have a BUNCH of Easter captions posted here, and I could have just dusted off one of them and reposted it BUT .. about 2 weeks ago I saw this image and thought, "I think I can do something with this," and what happened? I did do something with this!

And I'm pretty sure it's an actual image (not AI) that someone posted to some adult site and it bounced around until I found it on some aggregate site. I would like to believe that I told the official story of what happened, but you're guess is as good as mine. And for those of you that are in this situation, I've got my fingers crossed that the ending is what you receive too!

So if this isn't to your liking, just type in 'Easter' as a keyword in the "Search this Blog" section in the right hand column and find one which more floats your boat! We here at Deelusions of Grandeur are all about people flouting their dinghies as much as possible. There's at least 10 official Easter captions, a few for "Palm Sunday" and some others that weren't officially Easter related but close enough for horseshoes and hand grenades.

<><><><><>

I am approaching 300 followers on Deviant Art. What I've been doing is posting captions from the current month but 4-5 years before our current one (For any time travelers out there, it's 2026 here for another 270 or so days left until 2027) and it's been going well. Why am I doing this? Well, perhaps I can explain my reasoning.

  • I am not sure how much time is left here on Blogger. They've done everything they could to drive people away, with the age checks, the "must sign in" to view and comment, and started pulling down posts that they deem are offensive, only by checking the words in the body itself, hence why I've had to go with s!ssy and other silly l33t speak to get by them, and it won't shock me to see that they'll update that blocker soon enough.
  • I love everything about having a blog here, where I can interact and give more detailed elaborations about the whys and whats of my creative process .. and of course all the wonderful comments and the replies I respond with to create a community.
  • But guess what? I also have an ego .. a big fucking ego! And I don't like to think that the caption game has passed me by. BUT the page views are depressing to say the least, and I know that most of it is due to the restrictive nature of Blogger. I so appreciate everyone that still stops in, and even more, the ones that comment.
  • And yes, I totally understand that Deviant Art has it's own issues. At this point, I am running older captions there, with the purpose of trying to get more page views coming here, and build up this community. However, I have no idea if Blogger is going to Pompeii the entire TG caption landscape here. So if something happens here, I can pivot there and still continue to post without interruption.
  • Another thought with that in mind, is that perhaps I could monetize the new ones there on DA, keep them free here, and balance them both out .. though I have always fought to keep everything I have created .. gratis, especially since I am technically harvesting 80 percent of the images I use. Hell, I'll be happy if people "gift" me one of the levels for a month or two, so I won't have to pay for the tools that Deviant Art provides.
These are all ponderings I've had about it all, and there are pluses and minuses to all of it.
  • With all that "extra" exposure, people aren't really heading over here .. though I am going to keep trying to steer them this way.
  • Also, there's not a lot of interaction .. I barely get any comments or reactions other than something getting put into the viewer "favorite" folder. That's nice, until you see that most people have like 4k worth of saved captions. Will they even look at them again?
But I thought it'd be good to put it out in the open, for those who didn't know I was there on Deviant Art. I would like you to join and follow me if you can, even if it's just for 2 reasons .. (1) if this blog disappears, you'll know that I am somewhere else you can reach me, and (2) maybe you'll see some captions that you don't remember, or that were posted before you were aware of this blog.

And lastly, I would love if you comment below on both the caption posted WAY UP THERE at the top, and your thoughts on Deviant Art and the points I have brought up regarding it. There are probably things I hadn't pondered yet, and having other views always helps to get your head around stuff that has you puzzled. And if you are a caption creator, do you use Deviant Art .. and if so, what sort of interactions, issues and bonuses you enjoy or endure with being on that platform?

  1. Deviant Art seems like a decent platform, I have an account under another name there, had it for years, an old friend was into electronic art. I never posted anything there. I have to check you out.

um, maybe I am a bimbo... but I do not see you there? can we get some help?

  2. Cute cap. You know me, not normally a fan of "Aww, that's sweet" caps, but it does tug at the heart strings a bit.

As for Deviant Art, I know some people put their caps there but I've never thought of it as a community or communal place. I made an account there years ago just so that I could log in, but I haven't posted anything. One of the problems I have is it's search feature... it's bad. I searched for you for twenty minutes and just gave up.

I'm not sure where the next community will be for old school cappers like us. I'm not sure if there WILL be one. We dont' fit in the modern social media world like Twitter (aintevergonnabeX), Facebook, or others (though I do have a Twitter and BlueSky presence). With the way most places treat 'adult' content, we're just pushed back into a corner or not even allowed.

Sadly, the wide open web that existed when we were 'coming up' just doesn't exist any more.

    1. Well, I think there's enough kinky in the sweet where it balances it nicely. I posted an Easter one from 10 years ago that was about PTSD and war with rebirth, and it was so much niceness, I think I had to paddle a nun to balance it out!

I have come upon a few Haven members on DA, and there's a good number of other captioners that still do things the "old fashioned way" and some of their styles look familiar, so they could also be old Havenettes. I'm actually a bit happy to see them all, though as you have said, perhaps they are all 35+ years old.

Perhaps there isn't ONE particular community where we'll fit in like the way things used to be, but I'll still do what I can to at least be relevant to those who follow me, and if I can expand again, why not? My main reason for doing all this is to make sure that if this blog goes down .. people have another way to reach me / view my work.

It's sort of the same reasoning that myself and Jinny are trying to expand the amount of people accessing the Haven Discord; as truthfully, you never really know when one day you can wake up .. and it's not there, which is very disheartening. Coming up in October, it'll be the 20th anniversary of it's creation, and Rachel passed away more than 5 years ago.

Maybe to end this on a happier note, I'm still glad that you are around, posting occasionally and doing ok. Other than Simone, there's not that many long time captioners around that have been doing it as long as I've been creating them.

  3. I think I'd way to many eggs yesterday and missed catching up with Dee. I'll see can I find you on DA.

Mark/Marcia really has thought of everything. I think the partner will have fun spinning them for a bit.

    1. If you can't track me down, I'll post my DA name in the next post. It's not that hard at all.

    2. I found you. I use a slightly different name there and you welcomed me. Thanks

  4. Dee, this one is definitely my style. Feels so close to my reality many years ago, even if I wasn’t that presentable or into the kink back then.

    1. So were YOU the one that was being forward and bringing up the idea of dressing up, the lifestyle, etc .. as something you wanted to try? Or was it your significant other that made the initial push?

Definitely have me curious now, and I'm so very much happy that I've met online quite a few people that have had loving experiences with their forever people that went well a la you, S!ssy Kaaren, Leeanne (for the most part) and a few others.

  5. I’ve been dressing up since my early teens. I came out very nervously to my wife shortly after we started dating, but we had been best friends for years before that so I had a lot of trust in her. The kink in our play evolved over time, With my wife gradually becoming more dominant and pushing my dressing up more towards the sissy/slutty side and less towards the more normal streetwear/cross-dresser type stuff I tended to buy. I never minded though because it turned her on so much and the sex was incredible
