Never look behind you, always keep moving forward!
Made this for Ashley M. a number of years ago as a quickie. I think she had requested being a blonde yet wanted to be a goth too, so when I saw the photo, she definitely came to mind. Here is how I posted it to her trading folder back almost 3 years ago:
Well, I'm hoping that you get this caption. I bounced it off someone who will remain anonymously known as "JimboBessica" and she didn't get it. Anyway, I wanted to make you a quickie, and this jumped out at me for it was a blonde that was sort of gothy, AND I could use the background to my advantage.Honestly, BimboJessica DIDN'T get it. If you knew her, you would probably understand .. she really was her screen name when she was on Yahoo Messenger. Yup, I really do miss her viewpoints! I am figuring that MOST people reading this blog post will understand what is going on here. I don't think its the slightest bit subtle, but you never know. Perhaps there are more Jessica's out there than I thought there possibly could be!
Hope you enjoy anyway, and that people don't pull a "Bessica" and whap their foreheads too much in "FAR SIDEish what the hell is going on here?" agony.

PS. It wasn't Roger Daltrey. He was too busy following David Caruso and yelling every time he took his sunglasses off. That is a full time job now in this economy. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!
It was made to be fun and silly and hopefully engaging with little to no deep meaning. We all need palate cleansing from time to time.
And yes, that *IS* Taylor Momsen, who played Cindy Lou Who from the Jim Carrey version of The Grinch ... which does give the title a bit more of an extra layer for those who knew who the hell she was in that picture. I think she was 16 at the time. She was 17 in this video ...
Hope you have a great weekend. I am hoping to make some captions tomorrow depending on how I feel and if I have the opportunity. See you on Monday or Tuesday!
Cute caption, and you said it yourself, it's fun & silly with little deep meaning.
ReplyDeleteLove it!
Wow I use red carpet premiere photos all of the time... never thought of this o.O
ReplyDeleteWell, I was trying to figure out a way to do so without it being a "red carpet movie premiere" caption. When I saw "The Stepfather" in the background, I was like, "ok, now we know who DID it, how can I make it fun and fresh!"
DeleteI'm glad that you enjoyed it!
