Thank You .. I really mean it!

Other than "I love you," there are no better words to hear than "Thank you!"

I'd just like to take the time to thank EACH and EVERY reader of this blog. I truly appreciate the page hits, comments, and those who follow me. Every day I check to see if I've added anyone to my list of Dee-ciples from the night before. When it rises by one, I squee in delight that someone else has thought enough of my efforts to "tag" me as good enough to be notified of when my blog is updated.

Feedback is essential, and we look for all sorts of things that show we are wanted.

In the Haven, its when people continue to make captions for me .. knowing that I will make them a caption in return. That makes me feel wanted AND knowing that I have 44 pages of captions made for me (only Bren has more on the Haven) means that I am much appreciated in my mind.

Knowing that I've helped many people when they started out captioning also makes me feel cherished. "This is the first time I've made a caption and I created it for you .. /list of reasons/ thank you for your comments and support" .. I've gotten that quite a few times and it makes me so happy. People like Petra, Caitlyn and others that have gone on to much acclaim.

It also thrills me when people have questions and ask my opinion. I feel like a valuable cog in the whole TG genre that I've admired for years and being a creator of for almost 5 years. At this point in time, I feel like a combination TG historian and Fairy Godmother, and I actually have no problem with that at all. The fact that I've gotten some renown is comforting and the recognition is addictive.

Why am I saying all this? No I am not retiring and I am not fishing for compliments, nor am I trying to toot my own horn. I am stating this because I think that we in the community need to "pay it forward" now and again, and I've not held up my end of the bargain enough lately. Since I am just about done swapping all my programs, files, hard drive, etc .. into the new computer, I haven't really taken the time to comment too much on others blogs or even more, in the Haven.

I am taking a challenge, and hope you will too. I plan on making 5 comments a day, every day for the next 30 days, on others stories, captions, or blogs. In the grand scheme of things, I don't think that is TOO difficult to do. Find something you like, and give feedback. Seems easy, doesn't it? I figure that if I can do that for 30 days in a row, then it SHOULD become a habit and I'll continue to do it into the future. It really shouldn't be a hassle considering the amount of joy others are spreading for free!

Soooooo, how many of you would take my challenge? One a day, two a day .. whatever it takes! You'll be spreading more good around than you can even imagine!

We must not forget the veterans of the captioning world either. Lets not take them for granted!
