I made this one awhile ago, back in March, but wanted to wait until wedding season was upon us .. and here it is! Hopefully the caption isn't too confusing, so if you don't get it right now .. read it again .. and then come back here.
Ok, so my recollection is that our protagonist is 'filling in' for her sister at the wedding rehearsal .. and has decided to go all out as someone didn't think it'd be good if he was a bridesmaid. Maybe they thought he'd upstage the bride? Well FINE then! THIS will be his moment to shine.
Looking back now .. I do wonder why his sister can't make it to the actual rehearsal, but work with me here people! It's a TG caption! I do enjoy me hanging back a bit in this one, as I get to be supportive of my TG friends. Of COURSE I'm going to capture their dreams come true of being a bride. I'm a "ride or die" gothy witch, but you knew that!

You know, I had a friend once who didn't have many female friends... she joked that if she got remarried, she was going to make one other guy and me be her bridesmaids.... I didn't tell her I'd be glad to....
ReplyDeleteI think you've mentioned that in the past. My daughter has almost made jokes about having the groomsmen wear dresses while the bridemaid's wear suits back when she was younger. We'll have to see if I get to be the mother of the bride!

DeleteWeddings are fascinating in the way it is dress up time for all and sundry. Of course he could not resist the white dress and going all in.
ReplyDeleteI HATED wearing a tux the 2 times I was required to do so. Hell, I I think I've worn just a normal suit maybe 3 times in my life. When I go to a wedding, they are lucky if I wear a dress shirt!

ReplyDeleteIt's way more realistic than most of those Julia Roberts rom-com wedding movies, am I right? I'm actually wondering if I've done a "replacement bride" caption yet .. I've been doing this for almost 20 years now .. but this might be a first?
DeleteThe way the standin wants to smooch the groom makes it sound like she WANTS to be a replacement.... if she did that kiss, it would be... interesting.... I am sure
