They do say that clothes make the man, don't they?
I saw this image and the juxtaposition hit me fairly well, especially since I was a bit unsure as to the gender of the model, so I leaned into what ended up being the 2nd to the last paragraph .. which was the first thing I wrote in my head. And I knew that the ending would be that she'd want to go to the mail, so she needed to wear "sensible" heels.
From there, it was mostly fleshing out the premise and writing it out. Not too hard to do, as I literally just had to get from point A to point C, in which point C was already conceived.
Unfortunately for me, the sizing and the way the photo was composed was a bit harder to deal with. It was 900 x 1400 or so, and I didn't want to cut out the door .. so I'd have had to shrink the entire image to get it in a standard sizing for Dee captions, which is 1200 wide by however tall it will be .. or do a "text merged with image" caption .. and that would lead to a cramped 'text box' that ran along one side that made it seem a bit lopsided, even with the shoe rack being quite busy on the right hand side.
Along with that, there was a blank area in the top right that was just .. negative space that I didn't like, since it made it seem even more weighted to the left side of the caption. And since I had put a bit more detail in the plot as I was finishing up, I had to start at almost the very top to make sure everything fit on the page (originally, the story started more towards where her right ear would be.)
So at the end of placing the text in alignment, I knew that I needed to have a title in that negative space .. and to me, that is where I wrapped everything up in a nice little bow. I hadn't made a reference to exactly what the curse was that Stu had ended up being afflicted by. Usually I'll leave it more to the imagination for readers to ponder, even though I may allude to some of it's vagaries .. but I think this time, having a title made it much more direct. In this case, Stu was in a shoe store and thought he was being clever by saying the title to one of the employees, and as she'd probably heard that comment many times already during her job .. she just went and enchanted him .. with the added benefit of seeing him slowly get more girly and feminine. Perhaps Stu will be her best client soon enough!

Hope you enjoyed this little peak into the creative process of how I make captions. It's one of the major reasons I started up this blog like 15 years(!) ago. Simone, Courtney (not Captisa), Bren, Steffie, Petra, Jennifer, Caitlyn .. we all loved talking about the 'why's and 'how's of what we made for the Rachel's Haven while in chat .. and Jennifer suggested that I start this blog because not as many people on the Haven really gave a shit about it. I just thought it was interesting in seeing people's creative process play out from start to finish.
There are so many more options for TG content today then there was back in 2007-2010, with AI making a huge inroads with most parts of society. You can make videos, audio clips, engage in AI role play or watch people use overlays and voice synthesis to where it looks like you are interacting with a someone that is a complete different gender (or furry, cartoon, or other persona) than what they present in real life.
I'm immensely happy and honored that many of you still come here to see my latest works, even with all the extra boundaries erected by governments and tech companies. Thank you so much for your attention, your efforts to interact and make this a community, and I'm privileged to have the support you've all given me.
Let's see if we can get to 3k, eh? At the rate I'm going, that'll be ummm, in 2035!

A girl can never have too many shoes! I like to think it’s mid transition and eventually every shoe on that rack is a heel. And while it isn’t 100% obvious from the photo, I think Stu is going to end up with 2 nice racks before everything has run its course.
