Join Us! We Need You on the Winter Solstice!

The shortest day of the year, means plenty of naughty times on the longest night of the year!

Perhaps we can call this caption a palate cleanser amongst all the Christmas type stuff I have and will be posting to the blog this week!

Just got back from a Winter Solstice party. though they prefer to call it the longest night. The people hosting it are Christian, so there was no calling of the four corners. They did have the wassail bowl however and there is much merriment, as this is THE event to attend for the whole year in my opinion. The house is absolutely gorgeous, and completely decked out in multiple Christmas trees, each festively decorated to the colors of the room it is placed in. The food is decadent to say the least, and it kept coming out in waves. This hostess has no peer, and I've yet to miss one of these longest night parties since I've known them.

But this isn't about that party, though it does celebrate the start of longer days as a metaphor for rebirth. It's near the end of the year, and the time when people reflect on what has happened and take stock of where we need to be. So come out and join us! Make our circle complete!

Blessed be!

  2. Yep, this cap definately makes me want to join. Missed the Yule fest here, but the Dickens festival I went too made up for that. It's nice to visit an old town, that still breathes the atmosphere of that time, and the people living there dressing the part.
