Reading a Book on a Saturday Night? and Halloween DIY Challenge!

Time to slip into something a bit more comfortable!

Made this one a week or two ago, though I didn't like it that much at the time. It just didn't read right so I held off on posting it. Tonight, I think I figured out what I didn't like, and so I switched around the two sentences in the middle section, which makes it flow so much better. Odd that it took me like 10 days to figure out what was wrong when it seems so obvious now that I found it!

For those of you that want to do some reading and have a Kindle related device like a phone or tablet, Amazon is having a book sale, and one of them is The Encyclopedia of Witchcraft: The Complete A-Z for the Entire Magical World, which you can find for only 2.99 by clicking HERE. Not sure how long the sale is for, so get a copy now. It's like 25 bucks in hardcover so you are saving big time!

And now onto our abbreviated DIY Challenge. Yes, you'll have to get your entries in to me by Midnight PST on Halloween, October 31 of this year. I almost went with a different photo, but this seems a bit more like a Halloween theme, being there is some sort of costume .. or is it? I guess that is up for you to decide. I would like to see it be of drabble length of less, meaning 100 words. If you go over a few, I won't mind, but that will be the main challenge, with the one week deadline secondary to the drabble main challenge.

And in case you'd prefer to make your own caption setting, here is the source picture.

Let's get cracking on it! I'm sure your minds are wrapping your head around this right this moment!

And yes, I am home on a Saturday night reading. GF is sick from yucky nose stuff, and I think I'm getting something in my throat. GAH! Going to make some concoction my mom used to make when I was young, of Lemon, Ginger and Honey all served steaming hot. Mmmm, good!

  1. Spell books are such fine reading material. gotta liove them.
    Fun cap.

Nice picture for the DIY, not what I expected for a Halloween DIY, but that adds to the challenge.

    1. Well, it looks like a run-down old house with the picture lying somewhat disheveled on the floor with a lady in a maid outfit / costume.

What could be more Halloween? LOL
