Reliving the Old Days!

The Golden Age of Video Vixens!

Made this quickie about an hour ago and figured I'd post it right away as its breezy and fun. I was looking for a picture to make caption for Jillisa, but I found this one and just had to make it. Don't fret, as I found one for her afterwards, and it'll be posted within a few days I think.

There is no real subtext here at all, everything is right on the surface. I'm guessing that this would be the best case scenario for most of us if our offspring found out about our fetishes and whatnot .. with a roll of the eyes and a "Oh Jeez, not again!" Why not embrace it with a caption? But of course!

I've got quite a few in the queue now so I won't have to rush to make new stuff, which does takes some pressure off and helps with creativity. Not everything is Grade A, but as they say in baseball, "if you don't get a hit every 6 and a half times out of 10, you're an all-time great hall of fame player!" Even the lesser captions should give people some joy or at least a chuckle, perhaps a distraction.

The video that made me say, "why couldn't they kidnap me from school and turn me into a hot slutty girl like they did to her?!" Such a modern day Cinderella story, isn't it?

  1. I don't know if I ever commented on it, but I really enjoy your "breakdown" of how you came up with the caption. I think it's really cool. I really like this one, and think the offspring's reaction is a nice twist. Great work!

I don't have a queue but maybe that's something I should consider doing.

    1. I caption when I can. I try not to put too much pressure on myself. I usually leave Photoshop open for at least an opportunity to put a picture in a caption setting, and if need be, I can whip up the story at the same time, otherwise I might just place a sentence or two (a zinger or something essential that made me want to put it in a caption setting in the first place) and I can always go back to it.

  2. I really quite like this, it's very funny - I actually think I've done something playing on the same principle of kids being embarrassed by parents. It's also an excellent use of the image without going into much. It needs nothing more - everything is front and center.

    1. Very true. The shape of the image (pretty square) let itself to the "text on picture" format and my idea was not something that needed a whole lot of setup to get to the payoff. I think you'd probably have done a similar setup. It is something that captioners that are starting out should heed .. don't overwrite your story.

  3. Fun cap Dee!

I've always loved that video, but I must not have seen it in a while. I remember always thinking stuff like 'Man I wish I was that guy', or 'I want that car/buggy/bike', or 'I'd love to get even like that'.... but now a days I'm just left wondering what those two love birds are going to do after losing their jobs!?

    1. Yeah, I thought about that when watching it after I posted. So are the guys from ZZ Top going to get them a new job? "OK Dude, you are now one of our T shirt salespeople at concerts, and Miss, you are going to be driving around the country with a few other hot women in our vintage car giving makeovers to housewives that aren't appreciated by their hubbies anymore. Any questions?"
