Merry Christmas Everyone!

I hope that every wish comes true for you and all your loved ones!

Please be safe when you are out and about today. The frenzied rush of the Holidays can make us all less observant and more negligent in our long term well being. Watch out for not just you, but the others that are celebrating. This time of year is for joyous reflection and the promise of a better tomorrow. The best way to do that is to celebrate with those that you love the most.

Why is this one of my favorite Christmas songs of all time? Well, its the arrangement, which was brilliantly done. I actually hate pretty much every version of Little Drummer Boy that I've ever heard, except for this one. To me, taking something I find unpalatable and polishing that turd up into something beautiful and moving is worthy of the top spot. Also, Bing was dying and Bowie was most likely strung out on heroin makes this performance all the more spectacular!

Now I'm off to watch my favorite Christmas movie .. DIE HARD!

  1. Dee,

I love the cap! But more importantly what you wrote about afterwords. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas too, I love this version of the the drummer boy.

Also, the video is SOOO well scripted! Joking, but I love it nonetheless. It's a tradition for me to watch this. Love it.

But I think I beat you too it...already halfway through Die Hard!

Love your work, and wish you all the best for Christmas and the new year Dee.

    Love Cintia

"Now I have a machine gun .. ho ho ho!" - for those who say "Die Hard" isn't a Christmas movie!

  4. Thank you, I had a convivial Christmas, and hope you had too.
I never saw this beautiful collaboration between Bing Crosby and the other Davey Jones but hearing it, I can understand why it is on your all-time favorite list for Christmas songs.
