The Allure of Innocence ... the Garden of your Mind

There is a certain allure to the age of innocence, especially when the pressures of adult life drag you down and it just feels like wall to wall pressure. Not that there aren't issues with being a kid or a teenager; at the time everything seems like an utter and complete crisis' but as we get older, we look back on these days as often some of the best times of our lives.

I think its why I enjoy both bimbo captions and regression to high school days captions too.

At least in  my case, when I make Bimbo characters, they aren't sluts. Even when they do sexual things, there is that subtle innocence and wonder in their outlook that makes them seem almost pure. I know it might sound weird, but I feel that way. They don't see anything dirty or naughty about what they do, it just feels good and makes others happy. There might be some selfish reasons to their motives, but overall its more impulse control than any malicious intent.

As for the teen characters, the biggest worries would be grades and social acceptance. No worrie about where the money is coming from to pay the mortgage  .. its "OMIGOD, I GOTAZITAND TOMMYISLIKEFIVEFEETAWAYFROMME .. ITHINKIAMGONNADIE!" Its refreshing to think that is the whole turning point in our lives, when its just another obstacle in life.

I know people like smut in their captions, but oftentimes its the innocence and purity of the reformed characters that speak to me and make me feel happy. The first time I heard this on Youtube, I cried .. it was such a link to my youth and it made me just gush with emotional joy. Please watch and enjoy!

Really. We need more people like Mr. Rogers, who left the world a much better place.

"Did you ever grow anything in the garden of your mind?
You can grow ideas in the garden of your mind.
You can think about things, and make believe,
all you have to do is think, and they'll grow."

DISCUSSION QUESTION: I like to think that even though its a much naughtier version, we all have our own little Neighborhood of Make Believe. Have you ever thought about our little TG caption world and how we interact in it? What jobs we have and what type of environment it is? Won't you be my neighbor?

  1. I quite liked the cap. Don't have much more to say, except that I'm very happy I'm neighbors, so to speak, with so many wonderful people in the captionverse.

  2. Really cute cap and I heard this Mister Roger Remix the other day. I'm digging it.

  3. I do think of our world as it's own neighboorhood... or at least I'll start thinking of it that way. My corner of course is a much MUCH naughtier version of Mr. Roger's play land.

To be honest I've never been a fan of the more 'innocent' captions especially when they involve high schoolers and younger children. I think part of it is simply that my first reaction to most caps is sexual. I have a dirty mind. So when I see a cap involving someone underage, I have to slam on the brakes to what is a gut reaction. I can enjoy a 'clean' cap involving older people, but as soon as it involves children I suddenly worry that Chris Hanson is just outside my door.

And now that I've dirtied up the neighborhood a bit, I'll say that I'd love to be your neighbor!

  4. I like the idea of a TG neighbourhood. I also very much like the cap. Clean caps involving smaller people I do not find all that sexual, more wistful.

Mind you, I totally get Caitlyn's worries.

I guess I'd be visitor to the neighbourhood, I'd live waaaaay over there in the woods and my job wouldn't be so much about earning money as it would be making sure I can eat. I'd walk a great deal and have an outdoors-y sort of approach to things but obviously I'd have to visit civilisation for the clothing and whatnot. If ever you're having a party I can bring odd little nibbles and big cakes and things - woodland crumble a speciality!

  5. @ Caitlyn and Joanna

I understand completely. We as admins had concerns when Kamil first appeared on the Haven as she wished to be a young girl. But once we addressed our concerns, and realized that Kamil wanted NO sexual content in her captions, it was ok .. though we did bump up her minimum age requirement to 13 I think.

And "wistful" is a very good word for what I was trying to describe in the above post, the longing for the past that was never a reality but seemed to be tangible.

  6. Dee, I totally get the innocence in captions. It's a different kind of turn on for me--not sexual, but an escape. Butterflies & unicorns, rainbows & smiles. Because it's girly? Maybe. Because it represents innocence? Absolutely.

I've been listening to the Mr. Roger's thing on and off all day. I think I have it memorized. I brought tissues.

    1. I totally understand the tissues. Sometimes I feel like a silly little schoolgirl .. and who can complain about that?!?
