This is from a comment Nadine had on a previous topic relating to the whole "Tit for Tat" discussion we've been having here at "Dee-lusions of Grandeur" as well as at Rachel's Haven. It made me wonder what exactly my ENDGAME was and how to achieve it.
When I say that I don’t like shemales or crossdressing, it’s not that I don’t want to see that in a cap. If it is a step into a complete change than it is OK as it can be used to show the moment where you got changed or why you got changed. I just don’t wish to end as a shemale or getting stuck as a crossdresser. The above caption *IS* technically a shemale AND cross-dressing caption. At THAT point in time, Drew/Lindsay has male genitals and presents as female in dress and appearance. I have also set it up that it seems to be some sort of hypnosis that is changing him. I wouldn't say that is magic, and it would take a leap of faith that she'll stumble upon a magic something to make her completely female.
However I wouldn’t mind if a shemale was the one who change me as s(he) was extracting my male energy. Also crossdressing wouldn’t be so bad if it would somehow call forth a change into a complete woman (magical clothes, caught wearing female clothes which cause someone to change my body to fit those clothes)
So I agree that posting ‘shemale’ and ‘crossdresser’ as dislikes is really vague. But how should you then explain it in a few words?
I don't really consider this a shemale caption though. I wonder if other people give that much thought to things like this when making their captions. If you don't like shemale captions, would this one make you mad if you received it? I guess it COULD be a cross-dressing caption, but it isn't overt.
I still think it has more to do with the image used than the words, especially when someone is projecting themselves into the caption. In that case, the words are just giving the background on what the picture entails as it relates to the recipient. I can read one of Caitlyn's ball-sucking captions, and think, "Gee that is hawt!" since its someone else in that role, but would be quite disoriented if the character deep-throating the stud was .. Dee. If someone had made a caption with Dee-Dee (my bimbo alter-ego) in it, and mentioned that she'd sucked off a few guys, or if DEE had fucked a guy to somehow get revenge .. I might go along with it if it was within the character I've built for myself, but it'd have to be IN the story and NOT in the picture.
SOOOOOO, how to explain the intricacies with your preferences without being overly wordy and possibly stifling creativity? I can think of a few things I would suggest.
Break your preferences down to basics. What I mean is .. in the first part of your preferences, just give your basic information, like age range, Male and Female name, and some things you would really like to see in captions made for you. Think of it as a sales pitch. How would you describe you describe it if you had five-to-ten seconds to sell what you wanted? Perhaps mine would be, "swap of status with un-controlled compulsions, partial to hosiery."
Have a section where you can make suggestions. List some scenarios that please you BUT keep them as vague as you can. Try to stay away from "If I am a blonde in the caption, I should be dominant, unless I'm a lesbian, then its alright but only light bondage, except if my partner is wearing those steampunk googles, which means you can etc .." A folder with pictures of women you'd like to be in captions will also guide other captioners as to what you'd like to see.
Try to make sure your preferences don't contradict each other. I've seen people mention that they only want to be lesbians .. then a few spaces down mention they have a soft spot for pregnancy. Maybe others can work in artificial insemination into their caption,. but for me, I'm like the marines in that I get in, do the job, and get out. You want to be an Asian whore, then mention later that you hate stereotypical and cliched writing? Sweetie, you picked one of the least subtle characterizations around. Expect tons of "me love you long time" quotes.
Try to limit things you don't like to a minimum. Make the point as to why you don't like it if the reason isn't too clear. "I hate being a blonde because my ex-wife Inga is a complete bitch and has made me hate their very existence .. so stay away from any Inga's in captions as well!" would definitely tell me to stay away from that hair color! My dislikes are thusly defined in my prefs as such:
Things to Avoid:I would prefer no male genitals in the pics unless it is decently tasteful. No cum shot facials either.Give them a chance to engage you! Invite them to bounce ideas when they think of something that is "outside the box" in regards to your preferences. The worst thing that can happen is your preferences are too rigid. You'll end up with a bunch of almost duplicate captions in your trading folder, and at some point, those will dry up once people run out of ways to regurgitate the same things over and over. At two points in my preferences, I mention that they should contact me if they have questions.
If you have something else in mind, ASK ME ... I might be interested!
Also, if you have ideas that do not conform with what I've posted, please do not hesitate to PM me with what you have in mind. We might be able to find some common ground!Keep it current. If you receive a caption from someone, and it really made you tingle .. figure out what did that and add it to what you would like to see. We all evolve, and as time goes on, I'm seeing less and less gothy captions. I don't mind them, but I enjoy lots of other things as well. The gothy Dee tends to appear more as an agent of change than someone being changed into a goth, and I have no problem with that, as evidenced by the amount of captions I've written myself into!
DISCUSSION QUESTIONS: Do you think the above caption is a shemale caption? crossdressing? Any suggestions I made you think are way off the target? dead center bulls-eye? What other things would you suggest be added to the listings I have written?
I guess is just come on the receiver's end because reading the story I was able to give it a perfect magical sense, unless you told me it was a crossdress or Shemale. :3
ReplyDeleteSo given that point, I think the issue comes from the pictures... as not many wants to see a huge herm futa with a ginourmous erection. Unless you are Candy (aka oned eyed pirate) for example *giggle* I don't have a problem with futas, nor with draw art shemales. In fact I tend to visit Futanari Palace sometimes which is a forum that deals with that.
(I don't like real shemales at all... as captions btw...).
So I don't picture my persona as such. Therefore I'm not happy with the end result if someones attempts that. In my head I just cannot work that!
Now for crossdresser: It's a thing I'm diving into it recently, it's not like I get on action from it, but I like it more and more. For a story of course. :3 So my main issue comes in the pictures used and not in the stories per se.
Hugs and Kisses Alectra
P.S: I love my wordiness, so I'm not made for sales pitch :P
When I read your cap, I pictured it as a pure cross dressing cap. While reading it I didn't get the thought that Drew was ever going through a physical transformation. Just a mental one (which of course got him to try makeup, change his hair, and get a piercing). Shemale never crossed my mind. Now I could see in the future of that cap, it moving onto more physical changes... but that's what really works about your caps. They tell the tale of the moment, and let us fill in the blanks for future use.
ReplyDeleteAs to your suggestions on how to parse preferences, I think you have great suggestions. I actually compared my own preferences to your suggestions and found them to fit fairly well. The only thing I do that you say not to, is offer contradictions. But that's mainly because I like full on transformations as well as cd/sissy/shemale caps, and want to list all those preferences (and I do explain the contradictions).
One thing that I thought of though, is that in a way, you have a contradiction in your own preferences. When I think bimbo (like you explain Dee-Dee), I think of someone out for sex. She likes sex, and has no problem with seeking it out. To cap that I think of caps showing male genetalia. The only time I've made 'Dee Dee' caps is early in her transformation, or only referring to her sexual romps at the end of the cap, but never showing it. I guess that means I have a question for you Dee. What about male genetalia turns you off so much? I'll admit that I don't look at a guys junk and say to myself 'mmm... I gotta get some of that in my mouth right now. I don't like it. But that is part of the embarrassment and humiliation that I go for.... looking at a woman going down on a man hits a nerve that no amount of words can do. Without the picture to give me that 'gut punch' reaction, the cap just falls a little flatter. I can understand it with Dee (as she is you, just female). But wouldn't being turned into a bimbo just be the tip of the iceburg reaction you are looking for as Dee Dee? And wouldn't that be enhanced with a photo?
As far as contradictions go, it was more of a making sure you don't cross other peoples wires. I have seen "no magical changes" listed then a bit later on, they say they want complete change from male to female. There is only ONE way I can think of in which that can happen, which is surgical. As a famous science fiction writer said, and I am paraphrasing, any futuristic technology = magic. You says its an audio-molecular transducing device .. I say its a magical contrivance!
ReplyDeleteFor the bimbo thing, I should probably elaborate a bit more AND specify in my preferences what I am referring to. To me, a woman that loves sex and has no problem getting it with multiple people and always on the prowl .. is a slut. I've always viewed bimbos as more of an abbreviation of "airhead bimbo" with not much going on between the ears, a overly feminine sense of style, and a curious innocence even when she is two steps behind everyone else thought wise. A slut knows how to play the game, while a bimbo takes things at face value. A bimbo CAN be a slut, but a slut necessarily isn't a bimbo.
Here is a little joke (I will shorten it a bit for clarity) I used to tell when I was 12 years old. I think it shows the difference nicely.
A young catholic school girl comes home and says, "Mom! Some boy paid me a dollar to climb up the ladder to his treehouse!" and the Mom replies, "Don't do that again sweetie, he was just doing that look at your undies!" "Ok Mom, I'll remember." The next day, she gets 5 dollars from the boy for doing the same thing. Finally on the third day, the girl comes home and says, "Mom, that boy gave me TEN dollars to climb up the ladder to his treehouse!" and the mother says, "I TOLD you not to do that! He just wanted to look up your skirt and see your undies!" and the girl replies, "Yeah, but I totally tricked him. I didn't WEAR any panties today!"
That to me is a bimbo!
O.k... yes that makes more sense to me then. It seems that this discussion is bringing up a lot of personal definitions. I always thought of a bimbo as an innocent slut. Nice and believing almost everything she hears, but still having that slut characteristic of going after sex. The way you define it I would simply call airhead or even child like.
DeleteWith this information, I now withdraw my statement of you having a contradiction (and now that I think of it, I've abused poor innocent Dee Dee in several captions!)
I also wonder if we view cross-dressing in captions a bit differently than how its defined in real life.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I understand, cross-dressing means wearing some clothing of the opposite sex. Not necessarily trying to LOOK like a female, but just wearing feminine articles of clothing.
I can't recall seeing many captions like that at all. If I have, I could probably count them on 2 hands.
Waring female clothes and appearing/acting like a female and hoping to pass would probably be more of the definition as we see it in captions, especially since we tend to use actual females in our images.
Perhaps we say "no crossdressing" more as a short hand of "I want a complete male to female change"???
I don't know that we view it differently, but I'm not sure that there is a word to separate a man wearing female clothes to feel 'right' but not look feminine, and a man wearing female clothes TO look feminine. To me they are both cross dressers. For instance, I have cross dressed in the past because I've worn panties. But I have no belief that I could ever look like a woman. I don't 'dress' for that reason, I dress for the thrill.
DeleteAs I write in in captions, I write in the form that a man wants (or is being forced) to look like a woman. I don't believe I've ever written about a man dressing in feminine clothes just because, with no interest in how he actually looks.
Whenever I see "No crossdresser/shemale captions" I always assume both picture and story unless they give the usual disclaimer (unless you use a real girl in image).
ReplyDeleteI've often found there is a great divide on that, which the vocal majority being on the "genetic girls only" category. I believe it has a disconnect because there is a big issue of impassibility. Most shemale images found on the web are of of a sexual nature. Also, most of these are of T-girls with obvious male features. It breaks the illusion and fantasy, especially if you have strong lesbian fantasies (which is often the case in TG).
