Least Your Wife Didn't Turn You into Ursula!

Although that could be fun as well, since she seems to have that Drag Queen thing down to a T!

So, this was a zero-post back in April of 2018. Let's see if we can get some comments this time. And the first person to make a meaningful comment in the original post CLICK HERE, gets to star in a Halloween caption I've already worked up. Just supply your male name in the comment at the old post. Once we have one there, any others can go down below so I don't have TWO posts with no comments! That would defeat the purpose of this whole game!

Since it's a zero-post, I should just assume that NO ONE saw it back then, and it went by without a ripple of exposure, even though it's pretty fun, at least I think so! Here is what I originally had to say:

I was in the mood to make something playful and fun, and when I saw this picture, I knew that I could whip something up with loving banter between 2 people that were obviously in love, even though the magical wife, to put it nicely, is a bit of a loon. I mean, making your hubby into the different Disney princesses so he'll be able to differentiate between them? How about just watching all the movies and then quizzing him first? Then again, I don't particularly like Disney movies, so this could be what would be in store for me if the GF was a spellbinder or proficient with potions.

As part of the design work that many captioners like me put into their craft, the color scheme to the text background is in Snow White's palette. I always try to integrate colors from the image into the text field itself, and it really worked well for this photo, making it an even more coherent piece.

I know I haven't talked much about caption design lately, probably because most of my readers are now just interested in TG captions as opposed to a few years ago when more captioners were my audience. If anyone has questions about the composition of what I am making though, PLEASE ask. I love helping people figure out how the TG caption sausage is made, and it isn't that hard. The tough part is coming up with new scenarios when you've made 2000+ captions already! If anything in any of my captions makes you ponder about a choice of words, or colors, fonts, etc .. speak up and I'll be happy to let you know the WHY behind what I did. Sometimes things are a happy accident, but more often, it's a choice I have made on purpose.

Remember, you have to be the FIRST to comment on the original post .. though I want comments here too, the only way to have a Halloween caption with your male name on it is to post there first!

Anyone else who comments here? Leave a male and female name and perhaps I'll work you into a caption in the next week or two!

  1. Where do you get your material from?

    1. By material, if you mean plot and/or stories .. I write them all myself.

For pictures, it comes from many places, including search engines, amateur porn sites, porn aggregate sites; sometimes from people who request I use a certain photo.

In this case, if you want to see more of this model, her name is Italian Lace, and she's on Southern Charms.

    2. How do you come up with the plot so quickly? Or do you have a dozen, so to speak, projects going and just publish when you finish?

    3. Well, "quickly" is a relative term. I look at lots of pictures, and if I see something in them that gives me an idea, I'll snag it, put it into a caption setting in Photoshop, and just start writing.

Since many of my captions are trades with out captioners at Rachel's Haven, I have a good idea who likes what sort of story line, so I can just make sure I hit some of their preferences.

Once I start writing, I have a direction and kernel of an idea, and I'll just let it come out as I'm writing it. Because I've been doing this so long now, I tend to know when the story is done and wrapped up into a bow. Occasionally I hit dead ends I can't fix at the moment .. then I'll save what I have, and tackle it another time, usually a few weeks later.

As for publishing the captions, when they are done, I post them to the Haven for their recipient. Then I'll post it here, usually sometime between the day I wrote it up to 2 weeks or so. I'll delay it longer if it was made for a certain holiday or event, like an election or Halloween. Right now, I think I'm about 6 or 7 captions ahead than what is posted here, as I tend to post 4 times each week.

Hope that helps your curiosity, and if you leave your male name, you'll be the winning person "starring" in a Halloween caption. It's already been written; it just needs a protagonist / star!

  2. I went back and commented on the original.....you don't have to make a post for me....I've already had so many!!!! I was kind of hoping to shame some others into leaving a reply there!!!
But I will tell you....I'm not the Disney fan that I once was....but like I said on the other cap.....who doesn't want to be a Princess at least once in their lives????

    1. Well, I guess we'll have a "whoever the next person to comment HERE" gets their name in a Halloween caption!

Yeah, being a Disney Princess could be an interesting situation, though you end up dealing with a whole bunch of ignorant men!

  3. isn't ignorant men redundant? ;)

    1. Well, Disney men are exponentially more ignorant that normal run-of-the-mill guys. You'd hope that they were all well endowed or they would have no real charm at all!

  4. I must have missed this one, I mean a cap involving a Disney princess, or any other fairy tale princess for that matter I would have remembered. I mean it is a great subject to cap.

While I can enjoy the Disney take on fairy tales, many fairy tales have been told better.
Personally, for fairy tales, I love the movies made in Czechoslovakia/East Germany in the seventies, and my favourite will probably be broadcasted around Christmass, as it always is.

    1. I've seen a few Czech / East German type fairy tale movies done on MST3k, and they are quite weird in certain ways! Jack Frost for instance. Beautifully shot, but slightly bonkers. I got the Wikipedia entry: "Jack Frost (Russian: Морозко, Morozko) is a 1964 Soviet romantic fantasy film made by Gorky Film Studio. It was based on a traditional Russian fairy tale Morozko." Perhaps the overdubbing was horrible and that made the story go off the rails as I don't think studios gave 2 shits about translations way back in the 1960's.

I think one appeal of the Disney princesses up until recently is that they were usually "empowered" only slightly and still submissive to the male dominated society AND they had great costumes! Now they have to have a feminist agenda, which I don't think is usually an issue, but leads to other problems if you want stories that are close to the source material / folklore.

    2. Well, there is also the possibility that the Russians used other source material. Some fairy tales can differ quite a bit from country to country but usually the main theme remains.
Just look at the differences of the tales beween Charles Perrauls "Mother Goose Tales" and Grimms'fairy tales
Sometimes however the main characters of different fairytales have similar or even the same name.
The brothers Grimm themselves have two "Snow White" tales. The one most people know, the princess Snow White with her seven dwarfs and evil queen. And the lesser known "Snow White and Rose Red" About two girls, sisters. Here is just one dwarf, and he is the antagonist.

Maybe that's why I like older versions of lesser known fairy tales, the girls and women in them are rarely submissive, and can even be considered feminists by todays standards.
