Not Very Saint Like on All Saint's Day!

But true love conquers all on November 1st, at least on my blog. Come on inside and see!

Bummer of a shopping day at the Halloween stores and even the regular ones. Not much discounted candy, and not a lot of costumes or anything left to scrounge up at 50 percent off or more. Oh well! There is always next year!

As for this caption .. it was a happy accident that I wrote up about 10 minutes before I started writing up this blog post. I saw the picture on Pinterest, and her ass spoke out to me, and gave me the idea for an All Saint's Day caption, or a story that dealt with ramifications of Halloween night. Your choice.

And it was just supposed to be a quickie, which I guess it still is in the grand scheme of things, but I just put the picture in a caption setting and decided to write up whatever came to mind, knowing that the "ass looks fat" zinger would be the hook for the entire thing .. but the "lift each other up" thing came to me because of their pose, and that lead to the carrying bit, which made me think of the wedding dress part (I mean, don't most of my readers dream about wearing a wedding dress?) and then I was able to use the part that was the entire reason for creating the caption in the first place!

Of course, I couldn't help but throw in a topper, and tie together the whole "All Saint's" by making sure that they were going to be VERY naughty! No virginity to lose on their honeymoon!

I hope everyone had a great weekend, and ended up with some good Halloween experiences. I stayed home, did some cooking, and watched Rocky Horror again for the billionth time. I missed the GF big time, as it was one of her favorite holidays (and we usually celebrated Samhain too) but since we are in pandemic mode, it was good to spend it alone, where i could be with my feelings. I plan on being with friends and/or family next year, and want to have a blast with those I care about .. it's what she'd have wanted me to do, I think.  I was hoping she'd haunt me a bit, but nothing I could sense. Oh well!

Hope you enjoyed this blog exclusive, and please do comment below, and go back and check out the two captions I posted for Halloween, maybe comment there as well. I have a bench caption coming for Vanilla Thunder within the next few days, and some other charming bits of TG captioning goodness to keep you stuffed all the way through to Thanksgiving!

  1. Sis, are you still up at this witching hour? You were indeed "very naughty." I love the music by "Black-Eyed Peas," but I keep itching for a bit of Eddie Van Halen and the music of the '80s. I would request just a bit more music from the electric guitar, which liberated music from its shackles and gave to guitarists worldwide a musical voice. I think you ought to unshackle Eddie. :D

    1. I put up a ton of guitar-rock and metal. Pretty sure I posted stuff of EVH when he died. And Eddie shouldn't be, "unshackled" he should be, "Unchained!"

    1. That was the entire reason I wanted to use the photo in the first place, and wrote it all around that line! Glad you liked it!

  3. I agree with Fiona that line about the pants got me to laugh....
If my wife knew how many times I lied when I answered that very question I'd be spanked so hard I'd never be able to sit again!!!
I saw your mention of wishing she had haunted you and I just thought that maybe she isn't because she sees that you are strong enough to live on without her!!!
I'm so glad you are OK....I know Halloween was special for the two of you...
Going to start taking down the Halloween decorations that no one saw and start putting up some early Xmas stuff that no one but is will see....
    Anyway''''hugs and kisses
    From me and the Mrs!!!!

    1. My GF and I .. we never lied about clothing and how it looked on us. Brutally honest was the matter of the day for that. I probably rejected 85 percent of all the things she tried on, but she knew that if I approved, she would look good.

Well, strong only gets you so far. I'd love to see a sign or two that her essence is still around to keep my honest. Like you, I'm not big on religion too much, and the whole idea of "Heaven" isn't that comforting. I'd rather believe that she's frolicking amongst otters and ferrets and large kitties, and maybe even a few dragons like Falkor or Toothless, and playing Quidditch.

I took down the Halloween door display and now have a Turkey Day door hanger .. All bought by the GF. I will put up the Christmas one on Black Friday. No Xmas Tree this year, as I don't plan on having people in the apartment. Next year, when this pandemic is all over, I'll have my daughter come down and put up the tree and the stockings and all that one last time in my beacon of light's honor, but not this year.

      Thanks for the love!

  4. Love the cap Dee. The 'lift each other up' made me smile. A lot! We had a surprise for Halloween this year as I'm still keeping the family safe by staying at the cousin's house... OH MY GOD do they get a lot of trick or treaters! We must have passed out about $50 worth of candy! Well... we didn't hand it out per say as we just put it in a basket and had them grab it out while we watched from inside and complimented their costumes. Good times!

    1. Glad you had a great turn-out. I used to help my dad with giving out candy, but he stopped a few years ago. Plus, he's a big Trump guy so I have only seen him once since the GF died. I don't want to be around him as he's not a mask dude, and I don't want to deal with that shit.

I wanted this caption to be playful and heartwarming at the same time, as that was my relationship with the GF. Glad that it came out in the caption.

  5. Lucky for you, Caitlyn - I had almost no visitors, which means I'll end up eating it all - this season is hard on the figure!

    1. My dad used to buy a hundred pieces of candy or so, as that was about the amount he'd get every year, between 90 and 110 kids usually. After the 100 pieces, he always had a dozen or two Reese's peanut butter cups as a back-up, hoping he'd not have to give those out, because those were HIS!

And for keeping your figure, I usually bring mine into work, and put them in the candy jar on my desk for others, though this year, we don't have one out, nor many visitors to eat said candy!
