What's Wrong Babe? You Keep Staring ..

Something seems slightly off kilter, don't you think? Come inside, and you'll find out why!

Made this about a month ago, and it follows form of one of my favorite "tropes" and that is the being somewhat oblivious to what is going on .. that you know something isn't quite right, but you aren't sure why. And if you do figure it out, there's a compulsion to keep doing the feminine thing, even though you have an idea it's not what you should be doing.

In this caption, I took that and made it into an alternative reality of some sort. It does beg lots of questions though, don't you think? I hope so! I'd love to hear what you think happened that Friday, leading into the caption, and what happened afterwards .. You write it out. I have a good idea in my head, but I want to hear where you go with it. I mean, not EVERYONE went to the show, right? Or maybe it's a small town and literally there was nothing to do otherwise that weekend .. and hell, maybe there was an assembly in the school gymnasium during the day that got all the children involved somehow? Let me know in the comments what you think!

Can't believe that this video has 476 million views! Damn! Story goes that Freddie was going to shave his mustache for the video, but was talked out of it. On another note, Roger looked REALLY good in his drag performance. Of course, this video sort of wrecked Queen's momentum in America until their Live Aid performance, but the damage had already been done.

  1. I guess that you've watched the film "Bohemian Rhapsody" already. :) In the movie, Freddie was blamed for the video (not fair at all) and the subsequent ban of Queen from MtV. You're absolutely correct: Roger looks fantastic in drag! (And the actor that played him in the movie did a very respectable job.)

    1. Hadn't seen it. Believe it or not, I don't watch many movies, unless they are really bad LOL Like Birdemic or Samurai Cop. Miami Connection is another good one, and Plan 9 from Outer Space is a classic!

  2. Oh, and here's my theory on what happened that Friday: two male coworkers went to a stand-up comedy show. Except for the fact that the comedian was also a wizard (a real magic-user, not just a stage magician), nothing was out of the ordinary that night. But one of the guys heckled the comedian a little bit too much, and he ended up being transformed in body and dressed in a blue outfit and white nylon stockings. His friend, who tried to stop his heckling, got a massively enlarged "endowment" as a reward for trying to defend the stage comedian. And their reality was shifted just a little bit, so that instead of coworkers they are now a couple. (Small change. :)
They are both dealing with the aftermath of that...but they are both happy as far as it goes.

    1. Hmmm, never would have thought of that. Interesting take!

  3. My take is it’s hypnotised into gender role reversal because there was a sketch at the show lady night the couple argued about just too much and one said to the other why don’t you try being the other but were overheard by a power to make it so.

    1. Another interesting take on what I've written. Do they stay that way, or do they end up changing back?

This has been fun. I'm hoping more people will tell me what they think!

  4. https://www.standard.co.uk/showbiz/celebrity-news/tigerlily-taylor-posing-in-lingerie-helped-me-accept-my-curves-a3878381.html Roger's daughter inherited his looks! (She's gorgeous!!!)

When reading your cap, I imagined that a couple had gone to a hypnotist show, that the man had been hypnotized into believing that he was a typical woman (despite still having the exact same body) and into accepting the feminine role in the relationship and that the woman had undergone a complementary mental change (again, with no real changes to her body). He appears feminine because of clothes and a wig. She appears masculine because they have traded clothes and because she got her long hair cut off.
*Now* this couple is the show for the whole town and it is a show that will keep on showing as each member of the couple becomes increasingly successful at gender-role exchange and sexual transformation. Kind of like The Truman Show in that their whole life is (unbeknownst to them) a show for everyone else. The rest of the town is really getting off on being able to watch the whole thing.

    1. I often have to read your caps more than once before I think I've understood them but I can count on enjoying them once I have!

    2. Your 2nd paragraph does pretty much parallel what I had thought when writing the caption itself, though I had pretty much decided that whatever happened to the people hypnotized was to be considered "normal" to every at the show when they all left for the night.

I do love the idea you have though of a Truman Show and probably is the ultimate theme of "obliviousness" that I enjoy. I'm not sure how much could be done to keep up that charade in today's world, but it's a fun plot to think about.

    3. And thank you for reading them more than once! Don't worry about it too much.

I am not one for writing things to lead people by the hand, so it's great when I can see what people think about the captions, and they see something completely different than what I was going for. I tend to leave things vague, and often without a real resolution, because it wasn't what I was particularly interested in, but just wanted to focus on that moment in time.

  5. Fantastic cap! Hypnosis and hosiery are always a great combo
