The Game of Life .. The Ultimate Edition!

Sure beats putting those little pegs in the little cars, doesn't it? I just loved spinning the wheel!

Made this for Madcap McGee about 9 days ago, I think? She had commented on one of the captions I made, and told me who the model was. I just so happened to have another picture of her, so I went to the Haven, and made her a caption, even though she's not been active trading wise for quite some time. Hey, if you comment on my blog, and give me good information, I want to pay it back!

So, in the original caption, which you can find HERE, the daughter ended up in the cat's body, while Dad ended up in hers. In this case, the daughter is much more malevolent, probably due to the power she started gaining, and the influence of the game, obviously. At least I think so. What says you?

  1. You heard Dee! Look at what you can get for simply leaving a comment! I know I'm very glad I did.

I told you on the Haven that I loved the cap and that hasn't changed, but something I didn't point out there is how deftly you handle the set-up. The current quarantine feels like such a tricky subject, where using it in a caption could easily turn hokey or obvious or come off as 'too soon' and leave a bad taste in the reader's mouth. You've made several recent captions working it in and each one has been wonderful, toeing that fine line and masterfully avoiding those pitfalls.

I know I'm a little biased here, but great job!

    1. Thank you very much. I've been trying to take a positive spin on what's been going on, but also not trivialize what people are going through. Losing my fiance has made me much more sensitive to others and their plight.

And yes, I like taking care of my peeps here when they comment. I try to make sure I reply when they say something, and will often throw them into a caption if I'm thinking about them.

I am so glad that you enjoyed AND commented both here and on the Haven!

  2. Ah Dee....the game of Life.....I loved that game although I always wanted to be the pink peg in the car.....
A Jumanji take on Life!!!! Very cool idea.....would you risk your destiny on the spin of the wheel?
I'm not sure if I would or not with the possibility of such a lovely reward versus the possibility of a really terrible outcome....
And then....one wonders why a pretty teen would want to swap places with a much older man....I mean....I can see it the other way but from her perspective I don't see any benefit for her....
But I'm sure there's people that do....
Anyways.....I'm feeling much better and hope that you are too...
Sending you much love and hugs and kisses.....and hey....did you just stick your hand up my skirt!!!!!
No that's just my wife letting me know that she's awake!!!!!
    Love and Kisses

    1. It's probably the hypothetical "I have the power over you now," aspect that is appealing to her. I know that my daughter was always looking to have the upper hand in any of my dealings with her, and I really had to stay on my toes. Put me standing there in her stocking feet and tippy toes looking up at my former body, I'm sure she'd have lorded it over me for quite some time. "I can burp and fart with impunity, and I don't have to shave my legs or pits, and no period, and YOU get to carry around these big boobies on your chest for awhile? Where do I sign for that?!"
