Happy Halloween Night!

May your spookiest and sexiest dreams come true tonight! Whatever they are!

Here's an updated version of a quickie from 2017 that I posted that still rings true in my heart for you!

If you haven't already, please check out my last two posts dealing with Halloween, and comment there. Or comment here so we won't feel too alone on a spooky night like this!

  1. Two lovely caps. We don't celebrate Halloween over here the way you do, but if we did being the lady in the first cap would probably be my fantasy.
For the thing closest to trick or treating we have, I have to wait until November 11th, St. Martin's Day. The kids are not in disguise, but go from door to door with a lantern, singing St. Martin songs to get treats.
I know when my parents were children the used a hollow sugar beet as a candle, like your pumpkins, but not carved out so fancy. These days kids have a paper lantern with a battery charged small lightbulb. In my days we already had the paper lanterns, usually handcrafted unlike today. But we still had a burning candle in it. Great recipy for fun. Kids with paper lanterns with a burning candle in it when it's windy outside. Let's just say that more than one child had a hand held bonfire somewhere along the way.

    1. Still sounds like a good time Helena! I have heard that originally they carved turnips instead of pumpkins, but being much larger, pumpkins became a gourd of choice!

  2. Those are both fun, but the first one is so cute - I love it! I had the most gorgeous vampiress dress last night that I wore to take our youngest trick-or-treating at the mall and then quickly around the neighborhood in the pouring rain.

The best part of the night, though, was when a young boy - I'd guess 8, maybe 9 - came to the door in a similar dress. He said he was a vampire bride. I just wanted to hug him so tight! I settled for telling him he was fabulous, my very fave of the night. He made me so happy.

    1. Awww, sounds so cute! No one asked why you were dressed that way? The little one didn't mind either, or too little to care?

It's becoming much more common for boys to be girls as people let children be whatever they want to be. Some say it's much too early, but if you aren't feeding an 8 year old hormones, it isn't a big deal. I have a feeling I'd have wanted to give him a hug too!

  3. Everyone wants to believe everyone on Halloween. It's as if we all agree to accept the reality the other is presenting at our best.

    1. Yeah, definitely. I love the top caption which I why I updated it to this year. That both the child and the adult both hoped that the other thought they were real .. which is such a wonderful sentiment.

And I couldn't help but put in a quote from one of my favorite movies, Rocky Horror Picture Show .. "Don't Dream it .. Be it!"

  4. I particularly liked the first cap.....after all we all get to be who we want to be on Halloween.....unfortunately, due to the rain we didn't get a single trick-or-treater this year....but I did get to dress as a fairy princess, complete with wings, and sit by the door waiting for someone to come....
Now I have a ton of candy that I have to try not to eat, or I won't fit into that new dress I bought to wear for the coming holidays!!!!
It's hard being a girl sometimes!!!!

    1. I'm sure your wife can come up with some discipline to keep the pounds off you! I am also sure you looked like the naughtiest fairy princess ever!

At work, we all bring in candy that didn't get taken by children, and they put it in bowls in the receptionist room. It is certainly much better than those red and white mints they have for the rest of the year!
