It's the Best Deal on the Lot! Trade-ins Are Welcome!

Inspired by a true story! Well, not BASED on a true story, but definitely inspired!

Well, my dad has been looking for a gently used car. He just retired and wants something reliable for everyday use, instead of his old work truck. He also has a vintage sports car, so he doesn't need anything too fancy. I've been trying to help him out as he hasn't financed a vehicle in like 20 years, and car lots are a much different beast nowadays. It used to be that "cash is king" but nowadays, the dealers only make money if people finance. My dad hasn't quite figured that out yet as he's got a chunk of cash, ready to "make it rain" at some salesman that would probably run away!

So with THAT in mind, I had this picture saved and knew I had the right idea. I'm sure everyone figured it out soon enough, especially if the caption from the other day didn't fool many people. The ending came about as I was writing it, sitting there thinking, "how am I going to end this?" and having that EUREKA moment of .. most exotic dancers use either bimbo names or luxury items for their stripper persona. It's all RIGHT there in the picture .. duh!

So I am back from 3 or so days away from home. Good to be back here behind my own computer, with actual time to whip up a caption or two. Did anyone miss me? Did I miss anything exciting? Let me know in the comments and what you thought of this caption. How far along did it take for you to figure out the actual plot? I wanted to make sure I highlighted the photo so I made the caption wider than usual .. were you still able to view it without issue? I know some people use tablets or cell phones, so let me know if you have any trouble with visibility!

  1. Lovely cap.
It's a good thing for girls named after a car that the Mercedes car is named after Mercedes Jellinek, the daughter of an Austrian/Hungarian consul and entrepeneur. And it's a good thing for your cap that the woman is driving a Mercedes.
As German cars go, I wouldn't envy her if she was driving a BMW or an Audi at the moment.

    1. Well, that was sort of the point! It was a luxury car, but she wasn't test driving the car, HE was test driving the woman's body!

  2. I thought it was the car turning him into a woman as he drove it and by the end of the test drive she realised she was like the car, classically beautiful, a real goer and doesn't mind flaunting it and deserves nice things for putting up with all those icky men at the strip club.

    1. My intention was that he was testing out the woman's body to see if he wanted to keep it. The car was more of a McGuffin than anything else.

However, you understanding works as well. I'm glad when people enjoy the caption, even if they don't get every detail I left for them to find. Sometimes, those things work more like Easter Eggs.

  3. Did you have the Ford Escort in the states? There seem to be many people advertising with that name.

    1. Ha! It's too bad the Escort was a dreadfully economical car that was as basic as it came. Literally the 80's and 90's version of a VW Beetle without the charm!
