Sounds like a dream come true!
Made this one for Jezebel from the Haven on Monday night as I had a few minutes to make captions. I found the picture on Friday and placed it in a caption setting for Jinny, but I hadn't time to work out the actual caption due to hectic weekend. She has 3 distinct personalities from which to chose from when making a caption, and I was trying to decide which persona best fit the picture, when the idea came to me on how to incorporate a little bit of everything. When that happens, I just try to not get in the way as my muse goes to town. Jinny loves quirky things, so it gave me carte blanche to add some odd touches. I mean, how often do you see a reference to the Vince Lombardi Rest Area in New Jersey? Perhaps that will be my new "Credenza" that I can try to work into captions. Gotta keep myself from getting bored, now don't I?
I was also able to construct a caption for another captioner on the Haven, Feargas, which will be submitted as a 2 for 1 birthday special. I'll be posting that one at some point in the near future. I also have a few more in the queue that are almost completed, but I haven't polished yet, and 1 or 2 that I found while going through the catacombs of the D'archives that are just caption settings at this point that I forgot about. If/when I can flesh them out, they'll be posted as well. I feel better now knowing that I have some new material to post, and might have some momentum moving forward to create more.

ReplyDeleteFun cap, It seems to me you got did get all of Jezebell's perona's in one. The sexy horny redhead would be appealing for Jinn, the fae part would be for Jinx, and the quirky way you put it together for Jinny.

I didn't know the World/Inferno Friendship Society, checked it out and I like it. They have a Toy Dolls feeling about them, yet unmistakenly different.
I think the difference is the cabaret influence. Something about bands that have that Brechtian background seem to approach music (and life for that matter) from a different angle, which is evident in their work.
DeleteI am glad you think I did a great job with Jezebel's personas. I love captioning here, but often, my ideas have a bit of each of them in there and I have trouble making them all reconcile. This time I figured I'd sort of mash them altogether!
