Walking A Mile in Her Shoes .. LITERALLY!

Did I actually use that tired cliché title for this TG Blog Post Caption? Literally, YES!

But I can explain! I saw this photo and I definitely wanted to use it, and the best way to do that was to tackle the cliché head on, by actually doing the caption version of an eye roll.

It's such a well composed shot that I think it works well with my framing device, as you can read the story, see her up close, and see how her journey led her right to that point. Makes you want to be her and just run FAR away from there, right? Most people that visit this blog would definitely give it some thought at least!

I am running out of trading partners at the Haven I think. Not as many people making them, and some that do have relatively restrictive preferences .. that when I can think about a story that will fit them, it's great .. but other times I'm just inspired to create and the plot will get away from me, and away from what they'd want. So if you would like to trade captions for each other, but don't belong to Rachel's Haven, I would suggest (1) joining for fuck's sake! and (2) if not, maybe we can work something out, especially if you have a caption blog too! Leave a message down below with links, or at the very least, a preferred male and female name for your character, some general guidelines, and I am sure I can work you into a caption in the near future! Mine are already posted here on my site!

Here's a deep cut from the hair band days of the late 80's / early 90's. Their song Phantom Rider is really good as well!

    1. Thanks. Glad you see you dropped in here too Alexis!

Have you been making captions lately?

  2. I don't have much to say, except: need to get me some heels like that for a walk...

Loving the eye roll nature of this one too!

    1. They aren't exactly hiking boots, are they, unless you are telling your male gender to take a hike!

  3. What is that saying, you have walk a mile in there shoes. But it doesn't figure out what happens after the fact.

    1. Remember to walk a mile in their shoes. That way, you will be at least a mile away from them, and they won't have shoes to go chase after you.

    2. True, but I could mean that, you want to be that person, or you discover that something never knew?

  4. With those high heels on, the mile walk seems like a marathon! Maybe she will get back too late and the change will be permanent! Heck, with that body I would not want to give it up!

    1. Perhaps she'll like being in his body too. Sometimes you just need something different!

  5. Hi Dee,
Next Monday I go into the hospital to have a torn Achilles tendon repaired. Maybe you could use your magic and influence to have the doctor misread the orders and inside do a sex change procedure on me! I would love to wake up as the sexy girl I was meant to be! Thanks

    1. Good luck on your surgery, and make sure to drop by here often during your recovery! Perhaps I can at least get them to endorse a physical therapy regimen of walking a few miles a day on a treadmill wearing progressively taller heels until you can run in 6 inch fuck-me pumps!

Or maybe they've perfected that weird operation I've seen in quite a few TG stories where they shorten someone's tendons so they can only walk in heels? I don't quite understand that version of SCIENCE! but good luck to you, Zoe!

    2. Thanks for your wishes for my upcoming surgery. Don't think that I will be doing a treadmill or other walking for some time as my ankle will be in a cask of some sort! 3-4 months recovery then PT. But I will be checking in with you on a daily basis!!!

    3. Hello Dee,
Surgery went well, other than I did not wake up female.
Still on crutches and walker. Return to ortho next Wednesday.
Appreciated your kind words and I check you every day! Zoe

    4. Glad it went well sweetie, because I wondered how you'd do with a foot in a cask! Trust me, I've had some wild weekends, and that beer ball made a great space helmet, but I digress!

Do listen to your doctor, because they tend to know what they are doing. Don't rush things too much. Also, Head Nurse Mentia recommends this blog at least twice a day, and apply liberally!

  6. Going up those steps will be tiring, but it is a lot safer than coming down those cracked steps with all the branches in heels! THAT would scare me!

    1. Yeah, there's a lot of kindling there on the steps. Maybe she should collect them and build a sacrificial pyre in the ritual circle to be able to keep the body!

I don't think I could walk up or down those stairs in heels like I would have when I was younger. My knees are pretty shot now.

    2. Ups not an issue. But those booties, while cute, are mean for clean, level surfaces. I guess I'd take my time in comi9ng down. Though I would not refuse an arm ;)

  7. Spot on caption. Absolutely love it. Don't think there'll be much running in those shoes but will try.

  8. I must agree, that is a stunning pose. I had something similar long ago, but I was behind the camera. My Lady was just as impressive as we made our way to a party in VT. I wish I could find this pic, sans caption. A parking lot of hikers behind ready to climb the trail to a waterfalls. We never made it back. Ho-hum. Thank you for the memory.; Lee

    1. Vermont is lovely. I've been once or twice, and the last time was with my forever person about a year before she died. We had talked about going back and then the pandemic was starting .. we hoped everything would be open by the summer, but she passed before I could make it happen. I will go back someday, and probably bring some ashes along with me to scatter though!

    2. I am so sorry, I hope you have nothing but happy memories. I rarely went to VT in the Summer. We did get the ski house a month earlier and after ski season. Brought our bicycles, some golfed, I shot clays, lots of antiquing for odd gifts. My Lady did not appreciate any of it, especially the number of girls in the house share. Had to get our own house or hotel room (with room service).
Best of luck with your plans.
