Karen Is Going to Miss the New Normal!

Probably the last Covid-19 caption for the time being. I think we're all Cornoa'd out!

I wanted to make a quickie for Karen with one A, as she's been very busy lately. Figured she could find it when she came back and started captioning again. I had found this picture and thought it would work well with her preferences, and living situation.

I don't think anyone is likely to forget the last few months, and all the AARRGGHH involved, though perhaps if/when the 2nd and 3rd waves come, it might lessen the impact. Honestly, I cannot even imagine trying to explain to my GF everything that has happened since she took her last breath. Where the hell would I start? How much time would I have, and even then I'd just say, "Fuck it! Just be with me until you can't be anymore." 2020 seems like it's been here for 2-3 years. Leap Year my ass, we seem to have hit some sort of time distortion array that makes each second last an hour.

But getting back to the caption, it's a hot model doing something mundane, so it's perfect fodder for a TG caption, and I hope that Karen .. and everyone else out there .. digs it too!

Dresden Dolls did a collab halfway across the earth from each other. All proceeds benefit The Boston Resiliency Fund, which helps out performers that have lost their livelihood, including buskers, theater workers, and even wait staff. The Dropkick Murphys concert last Friday also benefited this great charity. The Dresden Dolls used to do Rainbow Connection sometimes, and I think that this is even better than that performance.

For me, this is the musical part 2 of the post I made for the love of my life the other day. Just a place where all my misfit friends can be together and not have to ever apologize for who the hell they are!

  1. Yes....the anonymity provided by the masks makes stepping out the door all that much easier....
But now that hot guy with the big bulge can't see me licking my lips.....

    1. Well, then you just need to be less subtle to draw him in!

  2. I'll be honest, I thought about doing this. Finally having a little bit of freedom to be the real me, but I chickened out.

    1. Awww! You still might have some time!

And I hate to say it, but we are far from being out of the woods yet as far as the pandemic goes. We're definitely going to have a 2nd or 3rd wave at some point. Perhaps you'll have time to pick out a few sweater dresses and pink Ugg boots, so you can do a fashion show for everyone at the grocery store!

  3. Dear Dee,

You are the sweetest big sister that anybody could desire! :D To imagine that a simple face mask could help "out" in the biggest way is something that could only have sparked from your brilliant mind. Such never occurred to me before, but you are correct: a face mask during these unique times would indeed be a boon to each "outing." I loved the caption.

May blessings rain upon thee, sis. I can only imagine that the pelted raindrops will crinkle your hair the way they do mine, and that beneath those raindrops we would both marvel at the rainbow and smile in the sunshine.

We are the champions. And we'll keep on fightin' till the end. <3

    1. I am so glad that you enjoyed it. I had other TG stpries plotted out in my mind that involved masks like that, but I sort of try to make this place another haven from the real world, but unfortunately, as a writer, I tend to create based on what I see and what I am going through at the moment, so that has definitely impacted the captions here the last few months.
