Blue Apron Meals Cooked in Red Lingerie!

Dee cooks with a little extra spice to make every meal (and victim) taste extra nice!

Made this one for Wendygirl, for whom I am perpetually owing captions. As I mentioned yesterday, I got a new culinary cooking implement, so I've been watching lots of Youtube videos checking out recipes of things I am going to cook in it. Therefore, I've been in that mindset while hunting down pictures for TG captions. This one came through and I knew it would be a good one for Wendy.

For those of you who are not in the know, Blue Apron is a food delivery service that sends out packages of ingredients pre-measured with step by step recipes etc .. for 2 person meals or a family of 4, and supposedly you only need to have salt, pepper and olive oil as far as food items go. I have a co-worker that gets like 2 meals a week, because her husband cooks on those days, and he enjoys making stuff that tastes good and is better than spaghetti and meatballs. For instance, this week one of the meals is "Tuscan-Style Roasted Pork with Kale & Salsa Verde" and another is "Seared Salmon with Spicy Beet & Millet Salad" Two things I can't say I've ever made here at the Mentia spread.

Or as I put it in the original posting to her Trading Folder on the Haven:
I have to explain in case you didn't know what "Blue Apron" meals and the like are. It is a subscription service that sends you meals you can prepare that are already measured out and include recipe cards. So you'll get a pork tenderloin, premixed spice packs, sauces, veggies, etc .. Some people complain that Blue Apron is one of the harder ones to prepare out of all the food delivery services, so I used that for this delightful photo I found that I designated for you.
Hope that this makes a lot more sense now. I enjoyed having the red wine (and special ginger hee hee) help make your transformation special!
Enjoy this culinary caption!
Now that you've learned what that is, you can probably enjoy the caption even more! All I needed to do was put in some food puns and finish weaving my trans-formative magic on dear John / Wendy. After that though, I kept trying to make it better, and edited it a few time before I was truly happy with it. Why? I think it was in that I really liked the picture and wanted to do it justice. I am glad I did, because it received quite a few comments at the Haven .. which helped me recharge my captioning batteries in time for the Christmas season.

Yes. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make anything for the holiday season this year as I just hadn't gotten myself into the spirit of it all just yet. I've been reading the "25 Caps of Christmas" event we do every year on the Haven (I've got Christmas Eve again, plus I took the 14th as well I think) but I had a few Christmas captions I posted here last year that I hadn't posted there yet. Today though I finally got myself a bit of time and thought and came up with a twisted caption that I think will work really well .. or people will get easily offended by my verbiage and sentiment.

So I have at least ONE new Christmas caption for the blog this year. We'll see as the month progresses if I can make a few more, I sure hope so! Any ideas on what sorts of holiday ideas I could tackle in TG caption format? If I use your idea, perhaps YOU will be the star!

  1. I am not sure we have that sort of delivery service here but sounds like a good idea. its not often my culinary bug bites so by then everything is out of date in the cupboard or gone furry in the fridge.
How about foxy boxing day. no returns without recite (at bodysuit store) santa stealing all the sexy Christmas stockings. i wonder why. Mince pie eat one and you wiggle your new ass.
