The Best (or Worst) Part of Waking Up

.. is not having to wait for Morning Wood to chill out when you have to pee!

Made this little quickie for Ridney on the Haven, who is a relative newbie there, but comments on others captions, and is starting to get friendly with the all the trading captioners. I really liked the photo when I found it last week, and knew it would go well into a caption. At this point, I don't really download that many pictures that aren't used at some point within 30 days or so, because I just have that instinct honed really well. I mean, I still have some that are more challenging and interesting that might not be generated quickly, but I tend not to "waste" hard drive space much anymore with images that will sit there for months or even years. I probably SHOULD purge a bunch of them, but I've not had the heart to do so, as I just KNOW there will be some trade I need to make and "DAMMIT! I had the perfect image for them!"

I continue to slowly work on Spring cleaning, which just goes to show how unorganized and messy this place has been. Actually, with the daughter pretty much moved out, we are trying to go through everything this apartment has stored in it, and hopefully downsize. Its a noble effort, and perhaps we will actually make headway, but truth be told, any extra space we get will most likely be filled with newer stuff! It'd still be nice though to get rid of some things that just seem to stay in plastic tubs from move to move. If I haven't needed it in 9 years (the last time we moved was in 2005) what are the odds that I WILL need it? Then again, someone might say, "I'd give anyone ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS to anyone with a floppy disc version of AOL 2.5!" and "DAMMIT! I had one of those but I JUST threw it out!"

Nice to see I'm not only a digital pack rat, but also one in meat space!

One of my favorite bands of all time. Guitar solos like a waterfall sweeping you off a cliff, drowning you with a cascade of notes, rushing along like a dalmation eager to accompany the fire engines to the dog biscuit factory five alarm fire. And of course, Henry Rollins being Henry.

  1. Wow Dee,I love how the dialogue shows the ongoing changes! A wonderful cap!

As for cleaning, well it has been our experience that stuff expands to fit the available space! We evicted a tenant from a rental property, he did major damage and until we get around to fixing it it has become storage space! And sweetie it's filling up!!! Hell just my clothes are taking up one of the rooms!!!

    1. The fact that someday you could be my landlord makes me smile. It'd be nice to have someone take my rent money and curtsey before leaving! as of right now, we just send it to a post office box. I think you'd have that personal touch.

  2. Now that's the way to deal with becoming a woman. First a coffee!
    Great cap.

Well, without Henry Rollins I might have never heard of Black Flagg, but ever since I heard Greg Ginn's guitar play, I loved it.

  3. Fun cap Dee! I'm sure being suddenly transformed will always look a bit better after a quick cuppa!

Most of my 'stuff' went into a storage rental when I last moved and has stayed there for the past seven+ years. If I'm honest, most of the stuff is just crap and should be tossed, saving me $75 a month. But there are a few key things that I can't bare to part with. Especially after paying over $5000 so far.

    1. Hope what you have in there is worth the 5k! I'd be in there rooting through the good stuff and leaving the rest to Storage Wars!

    2. Value, of course, is hard to define. At the time I rented the space it was only $50 a month and I only intended to rent it for a year or so. My 'stuff' was certainly worth $600. After that year I realized I was staying put for a while longer, and throwing the stuff out might save me another $600, but it would also mean I wasted $600. That equation is getting more and more out of balance though. I'm considering options on ow to remedy it... but for now it IS worth $75 each month.

    1. No matter what, I still think I'd end up just pissing in my face, which though some people seem to pay extra for it, I am just not really into that! :D
