Yeah, it's not fully fleshed per se, but Aidan certainly is!
I just finished making this caption, and I am posting it while it's completely fresh out of the creative oven of Dee Mentia. You let me know it's if's hot .. or half baked!
Ok, so we have to back up a bit to the last posting. At the end, I said this:
I hope everyone is doing well, and are avoiding allergies as best you can. I've been sneezing my brains out, so maybe I can whip up a bimbo caption soon enough? There's a chance I could be posting another caption on Wednesday .. If you have any ideas what sort of TG trope or fetish you'd like to see, let me know in the comments and perhaps I'll whip something up!
To which, Aidan had replied:
Despite the sneezing season, I am doing well. Hmmmm, a caption where a wrong sneeze in front of the right person... well there's an idea for you :)
And while I was replying, the kernel for the plot of this caption was forming in my mind as I typed it out (helped by Fiona's comment below the one I was responding to) so I ended up posting this in the message box:
I started replying to this comment with something, and I ended up with an idea so I might need to flesh it out. If I do, perhaps you will end up being the one to star in it! Not quite a wrong sneeze in front of the right person, but it definitely involves allergies and a bit of A-Chooo!
Then I went to my Dee-Mentia email and sent myself a reminder of what I had in mind.
Now I'm picturing a caption where someone is under a curse, and accidently types in, "I'm suffering from gay fever," instead of "I'm suffering from hay fever" and each time he sneezes, he becomes even more of a s!ssy.
Which was what I had typed into Aidan's response box before I typed in the new one.
So about 40 minutes ago, I went hunting for an image that would work. This was the best one I could find of a model that was holding a cell phone. Then I just needed to massage the plot around the photo, and figure out a hook. The sneezing part led me to the last paragraph, so then I just needed to fill in the middle section.
I'm hoping that everything makes sense, and it's not TOO random. And since Aidan inspired the caption, he got to star in it! See, commenting pays off! Soooo now EVERYONE should be down there, giving me praise .. or constructive criticism .. so that we'll have even more content on this blog!

I had better be more careful to check my texts, however I am totally happy with how this turned out. It is not too random, it is brilliant.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you liked it! Hopefully others will as well, and comment too. I know I'm usually posting only on Sundays, so I'm hoping people will catch up with it.
DeleteYou know, I could have sworn I'd posted a quick comment here... something a long the lines of 'HA! Love it!'
ReplyDeleteSo, since the great and powerful internet had deemed it important to eat my previous comment, let me dive a bit deeper.
It should go without saying that this is a good solid funny cap. The image is PERFECT for it. I'm surprised that you had the story first as it looks like the image could have inspired everything.
Anyway, sorry I didn't at least get my quick post up before, but this is great!
Blogger'll do that sometimes! Yeah, it's one of those times where I had the idea first, then went hunting for the image to match. Then when I found it, I just fleshed the story out around the photo, so hopefully it was coherent enough.
DeleteThe main thing that the picture brought out was that I needed the conversation to be over the phone, and not through text. The conceit of the plot demanded the text happen, but having the protagonist speaking on the phone made it easier to show the other changes .. the 1st sneeze caused the outfit and the room change, and the second one set the voice inflections and mindset flip .. and those were easier to construct via speech, and it also paid off the zinger I had in mind when I started.
