I am a person that welcomes alternative viewpoints, and this is one of them! LOL
It's one of those captions that I like to call, "Slice of Life" where there's no huge twists and turns, and nothing life changing in the "Marvel Universe" way of an upheaval of daily routines ..but something that feels more grounded and relatable. And I've had many women over the years complain about the main topic of this caption, and I've always just smiled and thought, "I'd love to have that 'problem' every day."
It also relates well to the last caption topic as well. It's why I decided to post this one right after. Sort of keeping the theme running over the week. And with this one, it's more of a, "I'm rather happy to have this little bit of discomfort in the grand scheme of things, since I'm wear I want to be now in my identity." Who cares if that pesky dress code keeps you looking MORE like a woman? That was the overall goal!
Luckily, my current GF doesn't mind them, so I look forward to her wearing some pantyhose and tights over the winter. She knows that it's a treat for me to see her in them, and that I'll make sure to treat her right for wearing them! Hell, if she's dressing up ready to go out and dressed the way our protagonist is, we might end up late to the party .. but we'll both have smiles on our faces!
"Opinions Vary" is a line from one of my favorite movies, "Roadhouse" and formed the basis of the title for this caption and blog post. Since I can't post the full version of the movie here, nor the Rifftrax version .. I am offering a Thanksgiving treat .. The guys from Rifftrax doing the cult classic, "Miami Connection" which of course takes place in .. Orlando! There's a bunch of ass-kicking in this movie too, with bikers AND ninjas .. and a band of tae kwon do orphans .. that are also rock stars!

I personally hate wearing them too but sometimes they are the best option. But if stockings work for the occasion I prefer them hands down. The biggest advantage is how much pantyhose help me look smooth “down there”.
ReplyDeleteI've always been a fan, and in the winter, I'll wear tights instead of "long johns" when it's time to shovel snow. I think the GF likes to wear the pantyhose as a tease .. that I can't get what's inside until we get home after a party or other event. She knows I'm looking, and enjoying the show.
DeleteI wear them every day. I love the fleece lined ones in the winter. I fought hard to be able to wear skirts in my department and hospital safety requires us to wear them for an added layer of protection. Plus they make my legs look so good.
ReplyDeleteThat's great to hear! And glad that they listened to you as well. I know nurses wore pantyhose for a long time, and I assumed for both sanitary reasons and also, like waitresses, it kept circulation going when you were on your feet all the time. At least that was .. the word on the street LOL

I'm so happy that you've been visiting this blog for a long time, and also decided to comment! And it's nice to know that I've helped, even in the slightest bit, to help you on your travels and trevails through the "wonders" of gender identity. I love the little community that has built up around this blog and others like it .. and the support and love offered.
