It pays to be on time, or even arrive early!
I've always been one of those people that if someone says, "we're having a party at 5 PM." I'll get there at 4:50. I am not fond of the whole "fashionably late" stuff. And I figured that if I was going to put a pet peeve of mine in the caption, why not put another couple in there from my days where I did some work in retail for the Christmas Season.
I can remember quite a few times where we'd have the gate lowered half way in the mall store, and we'd be vacuuming the store with like 3 minutes left, and someone would limbo underneath and proceed to do their entire shopping list for Christmas .. taking their damn sweet time. After a few times, we actually started telling people that our Point of Sale computer wouldn't accept purchases after 10 PM because our main office were too cheap to pay for their servers to be online from 10 PM to 8 AM. And of course, someone buying something for 7.99 and breaking out a mason jar to pay for it, or 1 item with a check. GAH!
But the main point of the story is that oftentimes people who are habitually late seem to have lame excuses, but there's always circumstantial evidence that cannot disprove what they said. And it's nice to be able to shove it back in their face occasionally.
Mostly though, it was that I saw this image and wanted it in a caption, and this is what came out. Hope you enjoy! See you soon again!
If Def Leppard come around again, I might have to go see them. I've seen a few clips where they still sound quite good for a band that has been around for 45 years. I'd have to catch up on their newer songs now . and by newer I mean, stuff they've made since 1995 or so. Last time I saw them in concert was in August of 1993. DAMN!
I'd apologize for being late, but.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVZH3EzVZtk
