God, the Devil, and Dee! .. and 5 million views!

I couldn't have done this all without that special person .. Me! Well, Satan too .. and YOU!

Made this the other day when I realized I was close to the next milestone here on the blog, hitting 5 million page views. I had set the artificial deadline of March 23, back when Google decided they wanted to shut down many of the TG blogs .. I wished to hit 5 million before we possibly vanished. They have since recanted, but I still had that day in mind, and we did it a few days early!

I wanted to do something special, and really didn't have anything at the tip of my tongue, when I happened to see this picture on the Internet. I am not sure that God has appeared in many TG captions that I know of, so "me" looking up at the sky seemed like a good way to have a dialog with a deity, and make it hopefully fun and meta for me and for you, the readers and commenters.

I am pretty sure that I have stayed clear of insulting anyone's belief system, just more of the standardized Hollywood version of the Heaven and Hell hierarchy. Besides, I've legitimately been called Satan's Spawn many times in my real life, so it's was possibly an omen that I am Damien.

I hope you've enjoyed the caption, and that you've shared in the bounty with joyous celebration of TG fiction here since page view one all the way to the present. Every comment is appreciated, ruminated upon, and often reflected about when I dig through the archive. Many of the commenters no longer are in our current circle of discussions, but they helped lay the foundation for what we talk about today .. and I hope they will come back someday with a fresh outlook at what we do and why we do it. For those along for the ride now, and those with their thumbs stuck out and their stocking tops exposed, thanks for riding shotgun. Its been a hell of a ride so far!

  1. Congratulations on a huge milestone Dee. I loved the cap as well, tons of references in there. Especially George Burns, until I was 10 or so I thought God looked like a small old man with a big cigar. And I'm pretty sure there was a Dogma reference as well. Great cap and congratulations again on the 5 million views.

    1. Thanks for being a quite a few of those views!

Yeah, there is a Dogma reference in there. I almost had God leave to go play Skee-Ball but I couldn't make that work with the little space I had left for text by the end.

    1. Thanks! You and Leeanne have certainly broadened my horizons!

So glad that Blogger had a change of heart. I pretty much detest what I see so far of Tumblr and I probably would have just went back to the Haven or tried to find a way to host a site without divulging too much information publicly.

  3. Congratulations Dee! That is so awesome. And it is an amazing accomplishment. 5 frickin' million times people have visited your blog to read your captions. That does not happen by accident or from passers by. You have an intense and loyal following that returns time after time to enjoy the fruits of your labor. And speaking for me, you are a consistent producer of excellent material. I'm so happy that I've gotten to know you and your blog. Big sissy kisses!

Now, that thing about the lawyers. All of the lawyers? Even me? Okay then, if it has to be....

    Hugs,

    Leeanne

    1. I wrote that part SPECIFICALLY for you sweetie!

Thank you for all your help in letting me learn about something I didn't know that much about before you became my friend. I feel like I could now get an associates degree in Sissy Anthropology!

"As we see Leeanne in her natural state, dressed in a maid's outfit and cleaning out her wife's pussy of semen from the alpha male, we note that ..." Might get people to watch PBS a bit more and who wouldn't want to donate so they could have an exclusive Leeanne Tote bag!

  4. Congratulations on the 5 million views, and a great cap to celebrate it with.
Loved the reverences as well, and I agree with Katie on the Dogma reverence.
I can recall a few pleas and prayers to God in a cap, but I can't recall the actual appearance.

    1. Yeah, I thought it was done so rarely that it would make this caption special, which I hoped would make the celebration of 5 million views special as well.

It was a blast to write. "Yahweh or the Highway" would make a great Ah-nold movie as a former hit man that has repented and becomes a missionary in Africa and helps the locals battle an evil diamond hording tribal leader.

  5. Congrats on the milestone Dee! I think it says a lot that a blog like yours can reach such heights. Your caps are more varied than the standard blog and focuses more on spurring conversation. I love that you cultivate this niche and continue both introducing new people to the community while at the same time helping veterans have a place to talk shop.

I may not join many of the conversations any more, but I still top by on a regular basis and bask in the heavenly/hellish glory that is Dee-lusions of Grandeur.

    1. I am so glad you are "around" so to speak, even in the background. I guess I am the "guy with the remote control" of TG captioners where you'll never know exactly what you are going to see but hopefully you'll stop to watch the madness for a few minutes each day.
