Mom always said not too ...

This caption was a quickie for Kaitlyn, who offered a 2 for 1 deal if you used a picture that she supplied. None of the other pictures hooked me like this one, so I grabbed it. Talking to Kaitlyn later on, she thought that no one would ever think to use it .. but she hadn't thought about the DEE FACTOR! I'm glad she liked it, and not only did I get a return caption with the same picture, I ended up with TWO extra return captions because apparently the photo I chose was considered a bonus one. I won't complain, trust me!

So, I have an interesting weekend ahead of me .. The plans are to either: catch up on reading many other TG blogs, make some new captions, run around the house sitting and nakedly touch as many things as I can just because its there OR put together most of a new computer I am assembling OR create a whole brand new website for work because the board wants something flashy and new .. and I would have to present whatever I have by Monday unless I want to just show a prototype/template. Trust me, I am keeping that last option as far from my brain as possible, but it might become a reality since I really don't want to have to overhaul someone elses work after the board spends money to buy something craptastic. We shall see how it plays out.

Anyway, I wanted to mention that in case people are like .. "Damn, Dee's been on here all weekend. Doesn't she have a life or family or something?" OR "Where the hell has Dee been? I thought she said she'd be around to chat and have fun and all that!"

DEE-BRIEFS

I will update this section as needed throughout the weekend as little thoughts pop into my head. I might make this a standard weekend thing if it works out well. Keep checking back in here!

I will be doing the obligatory "declaration of comments" post that has been blazing across the TG caption blogs lately. I've seen many of them, and not commented on any personally since I'm not quite sure where I stand on it. I can see many people's opinions and I think they are all valid, specifically based on what type of caption blog they run. What it means to me here verse the way I feel about commenting on others? I really haven't thought it through enough yet to make a full statement on it. Maybe I'll have something next week that I can elaborate on.

Welcome to all of the new people that have joined here recently. I've had another uptick of newbies showing up. The more the merrier! invite your friends to the ultimate TG ponzi scheme .. I mean ultimate TG caption blog run by a weird gothy chick!

FUCK YEAH SEAFOOD! Needless to say, I had an AWESOME meal. Forgot how much I love me some fried clams. Had a stuffed quahog too and a few drinks. Then we watched Red Dawn and had a blast. Good times and WOLVERINES!

The quahog, from the Narragansett Indian word "poquauhock"; is a large clam usually used in a chowder. It is also ground and mixed with stuffing (and sometimes spicy minced sausage) and then baked in its shell to form a stuffie. And yes, its the reason the town in Family Guy is called Quahog. Seth McFarlene is from RI and went to RISD (Rhode Island School of Design). They have audio tours of Rhode Island you can get from the tourist board, and Seth is the narrator.

Made four captions this evening, and visited a few caption sites. Was fun to hit a few photo websites and get inspiration and make captions on the spot. Did some for RMP, Simone (co-starring Caitlyn and Jennifer) Bekki and Cecilia. They'll probably end up here on the blog sometime this week or nest I would suspect, depending on my posting schedule.

DISCUSSION QUESTION:  I found the picture I used in the above caption to be fun and playful and almost perfect for a TG caption. Don't you think it would be a great photo for a newly transformed teenage boy to girl caption? What other scenarios could you see for this image? Would it work as a husband/wife type switch or punishment?

  1. Very funny caption Dee and I can't wait to hear you join in the comment discussion. When I was writing mine, I actually thought of your blog and how your reaction might be different.

On to the discussion question... this isn't an image that would normally call out for me to cap it. It is a good photo for how you used it and for a newly tranformed teenager, but it's just not my cup of tea.

If I WERE to cap it, I think I'd make it more from the transformed person's perspective. Something along the lines of 'What, you think putting me in this sexy body, putting clunky heels on my feet and a form fitting dress on me is going to make me into some kind of sexy girlfriend? Well I can make you not want to touch me there pal'o'mine! Check this out!!"

    1. I think everyone that wrote one was generally on point in relation to their own blog, and I definitely agree with what they say.

I can definitely see that in the picture. If I had been using it for Candy (Pirate) I probably would have gone that way as well.

  2. Hahaha I think I would have ended with the same idea ;P

Never tried a silly stance photo... Not sure, but I may try it later...

Mmmmm I think it would work as: Look I'm able to whatever I want with your body, even a possession one, for if you want to make the person you are possessing a silly girl. Thats a classic in movies! *giggle*

Btw shameless self promotion, but tomorrow I will be counting two years at the haven. Made a post in my blog - which I included talking about you - and another one in my haven folder! ;)

    1. Sweetie, ALL your self-promotion is shameless! LOL

Congrats on your 2 years and I'll try to swing by there today!

  3. *giggles* Funny cap Dee. I love the juxtaposition of sexy girl in an elegant dress doing something so immature and silly. I think it captures the essence of what you were trying to say pretty perfectly. If I was gonna cap it I would have perhaps gone for the angle of it being a boy deliberately trying to ruin a photo someone was trying to take of him dressed as a sexy girl or something.

It's always hard to think of what you would do when you see what someone else has already done. It's like when you have an actor that's perfect for a film role, even if someone else does it well it's never quite right...

    1. I agree that it can be hard to think about it after someone else has done it .. I usually end up thinking about what happens AFTER the caption ends.

I like your angle, especially since I picture it that every time the guy messes up on purpose, he becomes more girly, until she's a centerfold model.

SOOOOOO, if we went that route, the original picture would be first panel, and then the second would be 'Kaitlyn' as a playboy model of some sort.

  4. I hate to say that I have no idea what a 'stuffed quahog' is. Is that a clam? The only reason I guess that is Family Guy.

And did you hear... the new Red Dawn is supposed to come out in November (no really, this time for real!)?

    1. Yeah, its an Indian word for clam, but we tend to use it more for "big fucking clam". Lazy people make them mixing chourico, stove top stuffing and clams into a baking dish. At Thanksgiving and Easter, my family is some of those people.

A new Red Dawn? Who are the bad guys this time, the Chinese?

    2. Ahh see... come to 'Dee'-lusions of Grandeur and learn about TG, caps and clam recipes!

I believe the original baddies were supposed to be Korean but there was some huballo about that and they turned it to Chinese with a large Korean contingent. I saw pics when they were filming in Detroit as my cousin works just across the street and I've been anxiously awaiting it ever since!

    3. If you are nice enough to Bren, you might end up with a chili recipe or two. Its great stuff, though the real secret ingredient is the Lesbian peppers she grows in her garden. She's sent me some a few times and THEY ARE DELICIOUS! My daughter looks forward to when they come in the mail. "Did Bren send us any lesbian peppers?" she'll ask every few months.

Didn't know there was a culinary aspect to this blog eh? Well, everything in this comment is true!

  5. What makes a pepper a lesbian? Its quite an interesting thought...

    1. That's an easy one to answer. A lesbian pepper is a pepper grown by a lesbian .. namely Bren. There are quite a few people from the haven that I have real life connections to, and Bren happens to be one of them. So to make sure that this online life doesn't get discovered/mixed with my real life, I have to have define certain in multiple ways. Since I don't want to have my family think I'm having an online affair, I made it known that Bren digs women, which is true ... hence lesbian peppers.
