The main response is, "THANK YOU! I truly appreciate you all, especially those who respond and interact with me as I post what can be often personal feelings."

I am doing what I can to hopefully be back to 100 percent. I am on antibiotics and was able to take a half day off on Tuesday for a doctors appointment, then worked from home the rest of that day so at least I got a bit of rest.

What's made all this worse is that our fire alarm systems are old and are very temper-mental, meaning they've been going off for over a week now, usually around 3 AM and since they are hard-wired into the electrical system, there is NO WAY to turn them off! Since the landlord lives 50+ miles away and is trying to sell the building, no one has even been able to contact him .. and the fire department has been down 3 times. Looking at the forecast, I can't foresee this getting any better for the next few weeks. So on top of all the above winter shit, throw an hour of non-stop sirens going off in your apartment in the middle of the night when you are sick ... I think you can see how frazzled I, and my family, have been.

I am not sure when I'll be back captioning, and I truly wish I had an answer for you, and for me. It could be on Saturday if I have some time, or it could be when things normalize, which honestly, I don't know when that could happen. I thank you all for the support, and hope you'll continue to pop in daily and visit to see what's going on.

DeeDee Mentiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07798903090538917010noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1870069212223825401.post-32522488137504013272015-02-19T13:07:37.433-05:002015-02-19T13:07:37.433-05:00I hope you are feeling better Dee. Although I'...I hope you are feeling better Dee. Although I'm in the Northeast as well, I definitely didn't get the amount of snow you're dealing with. I'm not leaving my place often either. And I'm ready for spring. I don't mind the winter too much but I think because I haven't been going out too often I'm getting cabin fever and a little depressed as well. Its odd for me to feel that way because I too am a happy person. But you have the right idea, just like everything, we have to deal with it.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost people tragically because of the weather. And I hope your daughters friend is okay.

xoxoxo KatieKatie Millshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01221510966233140117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1870069212223825401.post-53270898805256454282015-02-19T10:56:50.308-05:002015-02-19T10:56:50.308-05:00Dee,
I hope things look up for you soon. Our win...Dee,

I hope things look up for you soon. Our winter here has been pretty cold, but we haven't had nearly the amount of snow you guys get this year. In fact we've only had one real snow storm all season, and then the mercury dropped. So we still have our snow. I imagine we'll melt ours off before you though.

I know it won't help now, but keep in mind that you'll have wonderful 'I lived through the 2015 snow season' stories for the rest of your life!

Stay warm, and most importantly stay safe!

CCaitlyn Maskedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02732033913089350905noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1870069212223825401.post-14496021558504693292015-02-18T07:00:59.222-05:002015-02-18T07:00:59.222-05:00Lovely cap Dee.
From this side I can only wish you...Lovely cap Dee.
From this side I can only wish you health, strength and safety, and wish that it will be better soon.
I can't offer much help, but if you need someone to talk to, you have my email.Helena Radianthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07628278680037628856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1870069212223825401.post-40425202440736139252015-02-17T23:15:17.092-05:002015-02-17T23:15:17.092-05:00Hi Dee,
I just wanted to say I hope you feel bett...Hi Dee,

I just wanted to say I hope you feel better, and the weather improves soon -it's very similar here, --20 to -30 the last couple of weeks. Lots and lots of snow too, but not as bad as New England. I've been prone to seasonal depression, and I know how much it sucks. I just keep telling myself that the days are getting longer, and the sun will shine soon:)

You were there for me when I needed a friend, and if there is anything I can do to help please don't hesitate to ask. Be safe, stay warm, and hope things start to get better soon!Torry Ghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00167630610011995850noreply@blogger.com
